Bot Improvements - Combat

Very handy mod!
Here's a few requests/suggestions (ignore if wouldn't get sanctioned or out of scope of mod etc):

Avoid mission failure priority:
Last player gets downed, at least 1 bot should prioritize reviving over meleeing bosses/gasrats. Ideally compare player bleedout time left vs boss health/gasrat distance - more urgency as last player gets below half bleedout or such.
(I don't mind them finishing a nearly-done fight first, but I hate slowly bleeding out until mission failure while 3 bots take turns perpetually feeding a chaos spawn back to full health a few meters away from me. This is one of the few cases where bots shouldn't act as if they're players too :P)


Special hugs:
Running off to take out a sneaky stormcaller etc is fine if there's no other danger.
If there's a horde and/or objective however, the bots shouldn't immediately lemming off a dropdown and head for the hills the moment a gasrat etc spawns.
At the very least they should mark/callout the special they're running towards to let the player know they're being left alone.

Good example of this is Convocation of Decay - Holding circle fine, then at some point the horde seems to be thicker all of a sudden, often hiding a hookrat/assassin that grabs me. Once downed/pounced, I turn around to see the bots had stopped fighting by my side because they've lept off the side and are running away to stab a gasrat that hasn't even attacked us yet. Horde kills me before the bots can climb the stairs and get back after killing the gasrat, mission failed.
Also going for the grim at the puzzle door - If a gunrat spawns as I press the hidden button and all 3 bots will try and kill it first regardless of where I go: They'll hold out of line of sight before it even starts shooting the first time, then they'll try and rush it during reloads but be unable to until the accompanying horde has finished, at which point they run in, melee it to death, then finally join me at the far end of the corridor next to the grim and at last process any pickup order I gave them 2 minutes ago.


Better ammo box priority/reuse:
Currently, unordered bots won't touch an ammo box until fully out of combat, then they'll only refill once, even if they use ammo after and get led to the box again.
Suggest these states:
Low ammo, in combat - Refill if near.
Low ammo, out of combat - Refill at a bit longer range (Especially if player is pinging box).
High ammo, out of combat - Refill if near.
(High ammo, in combat - Only refill if ordered directly; to avoid refill->shootonce->refill loop during hordes)

Also if there's some way to reduce bot with full ammo wasting the first half immediately on every lone enemy I'm about to melee.
Like if player is facing trash mob and has weapon charging, be less inclined to shoot than if it's behind player or further out of melee range.
Alternatively, simply a scaling chance/priority to shoot from high to mid ammo rather than them trying to hit the 50% ammo breakpoint asap (maybe just for low max ammo weapons? feels bad seeing 12/12 fall to 6/12 before any actual danger gets faced).


Single use ammo pickups:
If all players have full ammo, then low or empty ammo bots should pick up ammo bags.
Similar decision to waiting to pickup other items while player has nothing in that slot - Once player is full, bots should then not worry about stocking up themselves if they're low/out.
(Should be toggle option and/or make the bots avoid pickup if they've got a 'when out of ammo, power boosted' talent etc)


Tome stickiness:
Situation currently: Bot has ordered tome and is low on health. 1 healing salve is available.
I order bot to pick up salve. He drinks it, then he or another bot picks up the tome again before I can order it.
Now, the bots will juggle the tome between them as long as there aren't extra healing items about, so I don't get the chance to order a pickup yet.
I now have to stress about when one of the bots will decide to leave it behind and hope it isn't the same time as I drop down to the next area.

Suggestion: Bots should only swap a tome they picked up themselves (without order) for a healing item if they intend to use it right away.
Maybe also option to always treat tomes like that, even if ordered, to reduce micromanagement of heals and headaches when some bots have a tome by choice but others have one by order.
Or even just a UI icon to tell between an ordered/locked pickup and a choice pickup, for sanity when trying to work out if bots are likely to juggle or if tomes are safe.


Potion swap:
If I give a potion to a bot, it instantly gives the same one back. Suggest slight delay on that bot, to allow another bot to hand me a different potion type (or for me to pick up a second potion the bots can't reach). Also same for bombs I think.

Could it be possible to have an option for bots not to heal players unless they are on their final down? I've played much with Zealot as of late and the bots really like to heal you even if you are at full temp health and zero downs.

Request: Make bots block while reviving. Too often Kerillian goes down and another bot takes far too much damage trying to res because they never block while doing so. Thanks for the mod and consideration!

I can add 5 cents too: bots would not use ults while there is just 1 (or a few) enemies arounds.
Getting sick of Kruber wasting ult on just one Gutter runner around ><

It's better just do not heal Zealots, without any circumstances.

Also, it would be very nice to force bots do not use ranged attacks (if they require ammo only) for regular monsters.

And if you will be able to fix bot's attitude to packmasters - then it would be nice too.
I mean, if some1 got caught by packmaster, then bots are not shooting to packmaster, but trying to reach him in the melee.

Issues to improve:
- avoid going through gas
- use ranged against flametrowers. Too often, especially when a bot's chatacter has transversing Ult (such as Handmaiden, Zealot etc) they are trying to melee through the flame and obviously fail.
- a function to set a specific health drinking pattern (i.e. - not to use health unless you're at "last life" state)
- Keep fighting while hiding from rattling's fire. If a rattling fires all they do now is hiding behind something ignoring incoming damage.
Add to that: if a player is downed, ignore rattling's fire and try to save if a rattling is far enough

Any chance of giving BardinBot the ability to realize the throwing axes can be reloaded? He'll never retrieve them, and also ignores orders to pick up ammo if he has them equipped.

Ammo pickups do not replenish the axes, so that's no surprise.

suggestion now with the new outcast engineer class: can we get them to not walk in front of you ALL the time? :)

Absolutely stellar mod! The only improvement I'd suggest - after playing Outcast Engineer extensively - is it possible to make bots NOT follow your crosshair? They seem to be specifically programmed to stand right in front of your face, and wheneve I have to play with bots, they form a neat little wall directly in front of my minigun...

Would it be possible to have a toggable option, that prevents bots from using their ults on anything but bosses? Or possibly chaos warriors and bosses?
