Trade
Hello,

I struggle with finding good trading oppotunities in this mod. I have tried buying salt from Saltpans and selling it at White Harbour but I make no benefit at all, same for furs bought at White Harbour.

Could you give me some advice ?

I've played around 50 days, when does trade become a thing ?

Ok it's nt only trade which is broken it's the global economic system. There are no productive enterprise that can turn a profit, goods are all over the place and make no sense: I'v found myrish carpet being produced in barrowtown.

Yes it's look like economie is broken, no or very little opportunities. I struggle to earn some money in this mod... slaver hard to find, no true trading routes, expansive troops...

It's all stupidly broken is how I see it. Having "looting" skill does nothing, as you still get nothing even after killing 80+ troop army, I get 2 items. Trading is a joke as mentioned above, economy is derped. You can't buy and sell anything expecting to turn a profit, especially if you cross the seas, since you literally pay 1 piece for travel fair for every solder you have like every 6 paces, so you're literally bleeding money crossing waters.

Don't get me started on the stupidly low rewards for guild master quests in the cities. Escort 100 cattle from Kingslanding to Pentos, you have 15 days, you will get paid 95 silver stags upon completion. For real? Go die in a garbage fire if you think making all the GM quests in town pay between 50-150 stags for a butt load of travel and work. Seriously needs rebalancing.

Braavos bank got nerfed to 2.5% so it's a hell of lot slower money gains there, but it seems the only good income that isn't effected by wars and such. Only way I make money now is staying on Essos side of the waters and never crossing over, as it's the only place with slave traders where I literally farm npc mobs to sell since, as I mentioned, NPC's don't drop ♥♥♥♥ for loot even with 5+ loot skill now. That and doing tournaments for that cool 6.7k upon winning and betting 500 on myself. Which isn't often as tournaments aren't a 24/7 thing.

I know this mod's suppose to be challenging, but nerfing looting, drops, and trade to the ground is just stupid. No fun just grinding for shillings just to stay afloat and do nothing else.

Until this is patched I will go back to the previous version.

Yup, pretty much this 7.1 has a broken economy/looting. Unless you like spending 90% of your game time just doing 2 things trying to scrape enough funds to even remotely enjoy the game.

So far I can say that besides trade being broken, villages produce no cattle and grain is almost the same since 7.0. This makes village tasks nearly impossible to do.

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but for several towns (depending on what is randomized at the beginning of a game) their prosperity is locked at a certain point and they can't increase at all. I've noticed this ever since I started playing before 7.0.

Yes I've been playing the 6.2 version and even there it seems that the whole economy of the game is broken. I'm just going to leave that mod aside, everything is fine except that. Also there is an issue with armor. Weapons do almost no damage which makes fights lengthy and boring.

Buying grain and cattle is a joke. I ran around to like 12 villages to get the 7 that was asked for me since each village only had ONE damn cow. I don't know about you, but I've never gone to a village that had only one cow to sell :steamfacepalm: especially not in Mount and Blade.

Grain...yeah I have to literally travel around the globe to find them on a goods vendor, and even then I'll be lucky to get 1-2 bags at most.

I feel the quest money is broken for almost all quests and everything else related to economy and loot is borked. I'm at the point now of being tired of spending all my game time frustrated because I'm only playing to scrape enough money to barely keep my troops going. I now only exclusively stay on the eastern continent and became a vassel for Pentos so I can raid villages and take/sell slaves.

It's not my preferred play style, but this mod leaves you very few options since you can't make loot off of fights to sell, can't make money from being a trademan/merchant since things don't sell for jack anymore and the new boat system bleeds your money. I just feel the mod forces you to cheese and go a certain build, prisoner management and trade, just to make it by. That or be a soldier in someones army until you save up and ass ton of money to put into the Iron Bank to make that crappy 2.5% return.

Mount and Blade is about giving players different options and choices, and this mod I feel...takes away a lot of them for no reason outside of making the game "hard". It's not hard, it's just lame mechanics and broken things that handicaps the player with no work around except the choices I mentioned above. Very disheartened since this mod is one of the few mods that's updated and visually very top notch with a lot of features like formations and such.

I hope the dev of the mod fixes the broken economy and drops so at least we can choose to be merchants again or combat raiders. Till then I'll stick with Persino and Prophecy of Pendor.
