STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack

Awakening of the Rebellion 2.11.9: Jump To Hyperspace
Space battle issue with Normal BS AI
So, playing as the Imperials, the BS attacked one of my planets that only had a level 2 dockyard and a ground turbolaser.

The battle was close where I lost all of my medium defense fleet and station squadrons. However, before they all died, I was able to eliminate all of the enemies fighters, bombers, and corvettes. They only have their long range frigates left, the Interceptor IV's and the Am-Shak Corvettes. Since my station was gaining its shields back and was dealing with the Interceptor IV's well, I was using the ground turbolaser to knockout the Am-Shak Corvettes.

Suffice to say that I successfully killed all, but at least one of those long range ones and all of their Interceptor IV's. The problem is, they pulled their remaining ships away and refuse to fight or retreat. Since they are small ships, I cannot 'blindly' target them with the ground turbolaser nor can I give chaae since the station is stationary now and without a defense fleet. If I try to auto resolve, the game of course always gives me a defeat.

I assume there isn't anything that can be done now to save my level 2 station and potentially the entire planet. But, I wanted to bring it up to see if there is a way to get the AI to choose to retreat when they have one or two small ships against a station. Or to have them attack instead of hiding doing nothing.

Edit: after auto resolving, they only have two Am-Shak corvettes that were hiding, both had low health due to the station dealing lots of damage to them before fleeing.

I suspect that if you had run the battle for longer, those Am-Shaks might have reappeared once they had repaired themselves. I agree they should just have retreated though.

I did let it run on fast speed for about 20 mins and they didn't show back up. Maybe they needed longer though. I'll give it a bit longer since I took a break after it happened and still have the save.
