Apologies for not providing more detail. What you described is what's happening, even to reinforcements I don't deploy. I've noticed it more in ground battles, rather than space battles. It just seems strange that my units who only lose like 5% of their health are gone forever. It seems to happen too when I sweep a planets' ground battle with cheats. When I searched for it on the internet, I saw that it was a rare bug that happens with the base game of Forces of Corruption.
Honestly it seems like a bad design choice. I understand not being able to use them right after a battle. Letting them heal, receiving reinforcements seems like a better system to me. I wasn't aware it was a feature and not a bug, and am still unclear if I am experiencing the FoC bug or not. Honestly I'm just stumped.
Several times, that's why I'm at a loss as what to do. I can try playing like this, but I can't see it going well. While being very frustrating to boot.
I've looked for a solution just for FoC, but everything I'm come across is someone describing the bug, and usually a sing reply along the lines of "yeah that sucks :/"
And like I said, I test it out with god mode using a trainer. So zero loses along with zero damage to my units, and they just vanish. Is that normal, or am I bugged?
I don't lose healthy units, and I keep my reinforcements. All I lost was my sanity and some pride. But the game works now, and that's all I care about.
To those with similar problems, I'm sorry I didn't keep more of a detailed record of what I did, but after days of trying mostly the same over and over I think you tend to go bonkers.
