I had no choice but to delete both and reinstall WH2. I also think I installed WH2 in a different drive just to make sure there were no issues.
Because KMM makes a copy of all steam WS mods to the data folder , while Vanilla launcher does not do this (it links mods from the workshop folder)
Also any movie files will always run even if not set in KMM to load (or any launcher if they are in data folder). Because all Movie format mods always load if in data folder. (doesn't matter what launcher u load game with) So if u have any movie mods in your list of mods and u use KMM they always load.
So if you are using KMM it will always say modded regardless of mods selected to be used even if none are because all mods are copied to data folder with KMM.
If u are not sure what files to delete from data folder , you will have to delete the whole folder and verify the game to clean out that data folder of non vanilla files and reload vanilla files.
Its not a big problem unless u have movie mods, which do more then VFX modifications , they they can .(Movie mods are generally Visual Effects only mods, and well designed movie mods should only contain VFX)
