Only suggestion I can make is make sure everything in appdata for WH2 is deleted, uninstall WH2 using WINDOWS programs and features or apps (depending upon what direction you go), then make sure all is deleted, and when you install again and it gives you a path to install, add a letter or number to the backside of that address to create an entirely new folder.
If that doesnt work, you do not have an issue with this launcher, but rather a problem with your system requiring support through steam.
I will try your suggestion but, if I download and install Kaedrin mod manager again, my game launches again. My guess is this mod modifies some key files in Steam, preventing it to load the game again without the mod.
You probably have mods present that are .movie files like the mod that replaces majorkill for archeon. They will always be enabled even if you disable it in the mod managers. You have to physically delete them in the steam mod files to revert back to vanilla. You can find your mods at Program files 86/steam/steamapps/workshop/content, then find the one that is your warhammer 2 game.
