Planned for Brave New World Version of mod
Hey guys.

Development has officially ended for the Gods and Kings version of Civilization IV Diplomatic Features.

Listed here are all planned changes for the Brave New World Version, which should release at some later date after the expansion's release.

I hope you all have enjoyed this mod and look forward to updating this when I am able to! Have fun with the expansion pack!

VERY LIKELY
  • Allow human players to ask AI to move their troops from their borders (or declare war!). This option would only be available under specific conditions (the same conditions the AI determines if a human has troops near their borders or not).
  • Permanent Alliances - After the first Ideology is unlocked, the Permanent Alliance option becomes available. Permanent Alliances allow civilizations to simply "join up" for the rest of the game, essentially becoming teammates. Requires advanced game option to be enabled.
  • Vassals required to vote your way in the World Congress/United Nations
  • World Congress resolution to abolish a civilization's Vassalage over another nation (angers master, makes vassal happy)
  • Increased bonuses from trade routes to Vassal cities
  • Increased Tourism effects in Vassal Cities
  • Targetting improvements for bombing runs, aka long-range pillaging.
POSSIBLE
  • Deterrence to be added - civs won't want to nuke you, but if you nuke them, you will lose all relation with them
  • Co-op war warning: If a civ offers to declare war on a third civ, and you decline with ''How dare you'' you will have the option of warning that third civ of incoming treachery. AIs will also warn you of co-op war plans if they like you more than the other civ.
  • Liberation Bonuses: Civilizations whom you liberate will provide passive bonuses to the liberating player. Examples may include: +10% of their Science goes toward your civ,
  • Localization: If you can translate to other languages and are willing, please add me on Steam and let me know!
  • Do a pass on opinion weights - add more specialized positive modifiers (post in the suggestion thread what type of modifiers you'd like to see, I'll consider them. If not I'll just look at Civ 4 and pull some from there, and some unique ideas from myself)
  • Add a tooltip when asked to make a DoF, which shows you which AI civilizations have DoF'd and Denounced that civ.
  • AI civilizations whom you have a DoF will ask you to defend them when they are declared war on by a stronger opponent. (AI civilizations will ask other AI friends the same request).
  • Vassal Management system to manage benefits and taxation of vassals

So your done with the "Gods And Kings" expansion pack, and going to now work on the "Brave New World" expansion pack. Or will you still be editing the two.

Can you make it so that we're able to leave the World Congress (if not possible in BNW)? The negative effect could be that when you do so, every civilization in the World Congress at the time joint-attacks you and trade sanctions are thrown at your civilization... or whatever?

How long/When do you think you will have it ready and compatible for brave new world?
Forgot to turn it off when I first used BNW, everything worked except you couldn't get any text in the text box, like accept embasy and resources list etc. Still worked systematicaly though lol just couln't tell what I was trading
Can't wait until I can use it again when it's fully functional.

Making the vassels vote your way will help alot and give me even more reasons to enslave vs. eliminate the other players!

hb a " u declared war on my enemy, take some gold and my hot daughter" or a "praise fellow ruler" or " compliment fellow ruler", i always thought just denunciation was stupid, also maybe a " please move troops to this vicinity" option
