There should be. Unless maybe its because I used the one from DOD and you don't have it?
How did Hitler even get there? He shouldn't be able to do the First Vienna Award without controlling the Sudetenland, nevermind Fate of Czechoslovakia. Even if you were in a faction with them, it should just bypass... Yeah, I have no idea how he was able to do that. Thats not even my mod, thats the base game. It should work identically to when Hungary goes Austria-Hungary.
Unfortunately that is a bug with variables. I talked with paradox themselves and they confirmed that. I literally cannot fix that. The AI isn't supposed to want to de-arm the militia though, so while possible, I don't think that's it.
That really makes a war against them unpossible since they have unlimited manpower and can just Soviets-1942 you to elimination and still gain divisions.. Also they get the most Warscore in every war, so almost everything will be dominated by them
Just do Austrian Renewal first.
Apparently I need to look into Switzerland, since they seem to be doing far better than they should.
I also use Formable Nations for added flavor and as soon as I hit the formable for Austria-Hungary, the namelists disappear. I know how to work around it, but I found it quite obnoxious. Would there be a way to make those namelists hardcoded into Austria rather than simply assigning them to Austria?
Right, so the reason that happened is that you changed the cosmetic tag to something other than HUN_EMPIRE (which is the vanilla cosmetic tag for Austria-Hungary). The special names correlated with that are for Austria, Hungary, or Czechoslovakia assuming they have that cosmetic tag.
In-Game code:
for_countries = { AUS HUN CZE }
can_use = {
has_cosmetic_tag = HUN_EMPIRE
}
The only way to change this would be to make the names of those units for Austria in general, but I don't really want to do that since it wouldn't make sense if Austria doesn't try to reform the empire.
I play with a lot of mods so perhaps that's what's causing it, but do you have any insights?
This is because when neither CZE nor HUN controls it, Germany is given a war goal by that focus. I would need to change the focus in order to change that, and I do not want to tuoch Germany's focus tree if I can avoid it.
