[BUG] Animals and other pawns not gaining rest while sleeping on ground
So I thought this might be an interaction with some other mod, but starting a new world with just this mod, I'm still getting the same problem. Pawns sleeping on the ground, in a sleeping spot, or animal sleeping spot do not gain rest; they just continue to lose it. I noticed this because wild boomalopes were starving to death because they'd fall asleep and not wake up. Pawns sleeping in animal sleeping boxes, animal beds, bedrolls, regular beds, comfortable beds, and medical beds all gain rest as normal.

I noticed this as well. I looked into the mod's XML files and there's a lot of defs that have been just copied from the Core to the mod - presumably from 1.0, because some of the copies differ from the Core 1.1 versions. This is likely the cause.

The copied defs in mods always override the Core ones, which is why, when wanting to just change core values, patching should be used instead:

Happens for me too, and led to an interesting thing where all the wild animals would die from malnutrition cause they didn't get rest, and therefore did not wake up to eat, so my pawns would never run out of food lol. Hope it can be fixed, cause I really love the beds from this mod.

Same experience here. All animals dying from malnutrition - which is why I thought this was hunger-related instead of sleep-related. Then I realized colonists were ignoring sleeping spots entirely. I could even manually move a colonist onto one, release it, and it would drop on top - sideways, with no alignment. If they weren't completely exhausted, they would even move off the spot before dropping again. New animals entering the area, including Mad Animal attacks, were identically affected.

As Mandydax notes above, any and all constructed beds were operating normally.
