Darkness

The entire place is not lit up i cant see anything and even when i add some lights i can still hardly see

Dude, just right click on the viewport and select "Enable Lighting".

ok so you have to click on the giant screen where you go to load map (viewport) then try to Enable Lighting or Disable Lighting. I just learnt it.
