Basically just a fʋck ton of area portals
And func_detail
And nodraw.
But the map was made on the 1 grid.
Which is REALLY gonna ♥♥♥♥ with visleafs and the source engine.
So there's not too much that can be done, unfortunately.
One way to fix this issue is to make a low-detailed render version of the city, island, and bridges in the skybox. As to have something be there when out of the game's render distance.
I'm sure if somebody out there got permission to edit the map, I'm sure that person would fix the problems we have.
