The Storm Jackal is NOT the same kind of Jackal from Halo 3. I did some digging on the Halo Wiki, and found out there are 3 subspecies of Jackal: the famous Ruutian of Halo CE, 2, and 3, the Skirmishers of Reach, and this species is called Ibie'shans: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Ibie%27shan?file=JackalCloseup.jpg Now, I will check the Grunts page and the Brutes to confirm that subspecies within each Covenant species is true at the very least.
