Ideas to make the National Guards more useful

  • Capture squads ( who hunt you down and follow you almost everywhere)
  • Innkeeper who work for the National army
  • Prisons who are harder to break out (apart from Markarth, that I think is totally fine)

Capture Squads are a good Idea, I will try to figure out how to do papyrus scripting so I could implement this. Innkeepers? Im not sure, are you trying to say that the innkeepers should try to arrest you? Or try to alert the Guards? We ARE working on a central prison for all areas in skyrim that should be a great challenge for escape.

Like I was talking about earlier, the ability to wipe your bounty but Guards may have a chance (25% or lower) to recognise you. That would be awesome.... but the ledger or what you may use would have to have guards or be extremely hard to find.

Yeah, Im already planning out something similar to your idea :)

this is a good idea as i feel that the game is broke as well i have an idea why don't you have a national service thing for criminals like extending the radient quests for the caught criminals to complete but their pay comes off thier fine and to make it harder to pay off thier debts to society have it time limited and may be even a special crest put on clothing so guards/police will be particurally nasty to the criminal

u sould make some thing like when ur in jail a quest starts (this could only happen once) where you cand help loads of prisoners escape and could be your followers (or just sleep on it) also what will happen to the orig jails

u could get rid of bounty by killing ur boounty squad
WoahSuhDude 14 May, 2013 @ 2:00am
I like the first idea draugerborn but the second one would make no sense... as it is, the bounty would be held on paper somewhere according to the crime that was committed... so therefore just killing the bounty squad would not get rid of your bounty, but might add to it as the leaders begin notice that their squad has not returned in a while....

i was going to say burn the warrent but then i changed my mind and thought itd b cool if you just killed ur persuers and they lost intrest but i totaly agree to what u are saying

i was wonder ing if some one could help me with a script (i know totaly off topic but it is to do with jails) i am makeing a spell mod and this spell is going to on impact of your enemy teleport them to this jail i made i already have it so as you hit them but then you teleport away so i just need some tiny tweak i also would tag this as an idea for this mod in you could get a quest where you had to arrest say 5 people to become a guard (useing the spell) ofr attach the spell to a pair of hand cuffs
thanks.

thealien2000uk - Again lorewise, I cannot change the attitude of the guards. The nordic view on crime (Both real world and TES) is very straight forward, You commit a crime, you pay gold or time (Which in real life is exile). No guards are supposed to take a personal affair in your business if you are a criminal, and the only ones who should be mad is the family of the one you harmed; Usually starting feuds.

Before you ask, I won't do feuds since I consider there are too many in game, plus the PC doesnt have any family (I dont give craps about HF)

I can make a prison break quest with people and followers.

Druagerborn77 - Sorry, im pretty new at scripting myself.

Draugerborn77 - Heh, I like the idea to beomce a guard, however I think bethesda games are not just meant to allow the PC to become a law enforcement agent.
