Troubleshooting Thread
1> I have some parts that are invisible!

Check that you have subscribed all of the modelpacks: 1212models1_v2,1212models2, 1212models3, 1212models4, and 1212models5. Also: check that you have enabled all of them in the TW launcher.

2> My Attila crashes whenever I press Custom Battles!

Sometimes, Attila gets upset whenever you remove a vanilla factions/faction mod. Fret not, all you have to do is wipe it's memory by doing this:

- Go to your AppData folder (try searching for %appdata% with Windows). Mine is located at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Attila
- Delete the folder "battle_preferences". This folder stores Attila's custom battle settings, and resetting it should allow it to work.

3> My unit names and faction names are invisible!

This mod supports only English as of now. If anybody wants to translate it they are free to do so. The reason why we aren't doing it is because:

- We would rather work on new factions than wasting months translating over 1000 lines
- Most of us (the mod team) plays the game in English anyways.

Therefore you need to change the game language to English, or it will remain invisible.

How to change your game language?

Go to your Steam Library, right-click on Attila, click on properties, click on language tab (4th tab from the left)

4> I cannot play with my friends because Attila says Host Version is different!

Make sure that you and your friends have the SAME EXACT mods enabled before launching the game. For example, if you have only MKTW enable while your friend has MKTW + Olympian's Camera Mod, your friend will not be able to join you because you dont have Olympian's camera mod enabled. If you both have it enabled however, you will be able to play together. This logic applies to every other mod out there.

5> My custom battle replay causes my Attila to crash!

Unfortunately, this is an issue with all faction mods. The only fix is to not move around any troops during the deployment phase, just press "start".

6> There is an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle that is not letting me enable the mod!

Tick the "enable out-of-date mods" under the play button.

7> I can't see some factions, such as Kingdom of Bohemia and the Vlachs because the drop down menu continues through the bottom of my screen
You can use the up/down key to cycle the faction selection. As said earlier, some factions may be hidden due to the screen resolution.

8> The Campaign Faction Selection are broken! It only have 1 row under "Balticum et Ruthenia"!
Subscribe to Medieval Kingdoms 1212 Scripts and activate it.


9> The Faction Leader is just a blank white rectangle at the Campaign Faction Selection
Go to Graphics Options, set the "Porthole Quality" to "3D"

Hello developer! I noticed that if you use guns in battles, the game flies. Can you influence this? Thank you.

You use Russian localization, correct? That's because the mod only have English localization at the moment. New special_phases need localization text for it to not crash.

If only we have localization maker.

Thank you for the latest update! Especially for the new type of Mongols. Baghatut Guard , and heavy Lancers in the Golden Horde and Ilkhanate. I hope that this is still

I believe that they've been integrated into a larger faction, I think Nicea or Latin Empire. Its because in CB, we only have a certain amount of factions that can fit into the drop-down faction selection window, so smaller factions (like epirus, trebizond, bavaria, saxony, brabant, etc.) were all transferred into their parent faction.

Templar and Hospitalar sergeant/crossbowman in the Antioch faction disappear upon zooming out in battle, is this a problem on my end or perhaps a glitch yet to be patched? Only problem I've had in this otherwise SUPERB Mod by the way. Best I've downloaded since NTW 3. Keep up the work.

for some reason after i deleted the battle preferences folder i have no sound in game pls help

I figured out how to fix the units disappearing from afar problem. You have to downlaod the pack file manager for total war and aquaint yourself with how to find and edit the specific files inside the mod. Specifically for this fix, you need to add an "imposter_model" copy for each "variant_mesh" clothing model. I can explain more but its hard to walk it through if you havent downloaded and become comfortable with the pack file manager.

Sorry, that's our fault, a bug. We're the one which supposed to be fixing it - our subscribers shouldn't need to do it.
