Releasable buffer states
Been playing this mod for roughly ~86 hour now and have enjoyed multiple in-depth campaigns and scenarios. I've restored the Byzantine Empire from scratch twice with Nicaea and Bulgaria, i've done holy wars against the Pope as both Catharists and Orthodox traditionalists. Even going as far as playing the HRE and enforcing federalization and direct control over most of Northern Europe.

In short, this mod is the reason why I still come back to TW Attila. It is extremely in depth and has plentiful potential.

One of my favorite features is definitely the buffer state mechanic, were your puppets actually have some military value to them, especially fixing the redundant base game mechanic where vassals can still be destroyed a few turns later by the coalition of nations that brought them to a city-state even after you subjugate them. All just to provide a marginal 80-400 gold a turn.

Is there any list or confirmed grouping of buffer states? I understand the criteria of having a destroyed faction, and one outside of your start territory, however I've only been able to piece together a few releasables that i've found so far in my campaigns:


Serbia, Voivoidship of Wallachia, Epirus (bugged), Silesia, Navarre, Aq Qoyunlu, Seljuk Sultanate, Teutonic Order, Pomerania, Greater & Lesser Poland, Halych, and Aix En Provence.


TLDR: This mod is great and has replaced base game for me as the standard. The buffer state mechanic is a solid idea and allows for paralleled roleplay and empire building. What are the confirmed releasable nations and what factions have you found to be releasable?
