I'm new to this mod and initially I like it, but I have a few questions.

During my campaign, an event triggered for England to invade Normandy, they did, but after a few turns with no battles fought, I got a completion to the event saying they failed their invasion and I could force peace, so I forced peace.

Not long after that I was warned that the Pope was about to call a Crusade, then I was given a mission to build a religious building to gain favor with the Pope. 2 or 3 turns later the crusade was called and my religious building quest completed with success.... I hadn't built anything. I started to tear something down to build but I had not built a church or anything yet.

So I know the campaign is in Alpha, but I was just wondering if all this was expected because it seemed like with 10 or so turns, a LOT of stuff had happened. Invasion by England, and a Crusade called all within 10 turns. I feel like I can't get started on any conquests because I'm constantly having to shift gears due to events.

Is this expected at first?
