Laborers leave map when fighting fire?
This may not be an issue with this mod, but seeing as I have never encountered the bug until today when I tried my first map with this mod enabled, I'm posting this here. Again, may not be this mod, but it's hard to know. Never seen it before in vanilla.

Essentially, one of my houses caught fire, start of the 2nd year. All my laborers and a number of other citizens ran to the nearby lake, grabbed water, and ran to the house to put it out. After going back and forth a couple of times, they then took a new batch of water and proceeded to run all the way south and off of the map. I then noticed the children of these citizens also ran off the map in the same way. Soon I was only left with a couple citizens who were far enough away when the fire broke out that they hadn't gone to fight it.

Once the house finally burned to the ground, the citizens started returning - but of course, at this point enough time had passed that many had grown hungry and they started to die of starvation on the walk back. Some made it back ok, but not all. Very frustrating way to lose my people. Some google searching hasn't led to any results.

Has anyone else ever encountered this issue? Does anyone know if this is tied to the mod here or not?

This mod is the only one I had running, and the house that caught fire was a vanilla wooden house.

thats sad. i met that bug before, i dont think it is my mod cause there is notihng i could set up differently....

maybe it is a but related to the fact you didnt got firefighting wells

Hey Red-Ketchup, thanks for the quick reply. I suppose it is some consolation that you have encountered the bug before, as it means it probably isn't the mod like you say. Still doesn't help me keep my people from dying haha!

After more Google search I did find one other post about this from 2016, that player was running a modded game but with MM and CC, not this mod. I don't know what sorts of things may be shared between these, if anything.

I guess I'll just look into if there's a way to disable disasters after starting the map (like editing the save or some such). I'm only about 1.5 hours into this map anyway so it's not the end of the world if I have to restart.

Thanks again for the great mod! It's been delightful to have so much more to play with.

dont miss at the end of the month / begining of november : Patch 1.2 :)

the wild forest will be reinvented , a full new dock set, and some addons like orchard foresters :)

Same thing just happened to me. Wooden house caught fire and everyone made a beat to the edge of the map. I even have 2 wells nearby.

yeah in patch 1.23 soon, i took out the ability of houses to caught fire. the game has some kind of bugs with houses in fire.
