Stabilizer will be changed in the next update, one of the features is unstable so i'll probably make one stable one and tweak the unstable one.
Changing texture is done through multiple meshes, which is quite easy if you are using meshes that the game provides (repainted logic gate), but i'm using my own so it may take a while or never come. Eventually when we get GUIs every block will have proper settings and this will be less useful anyways.
Blink block is probably an error on your side, people report that sometimes one of the blocks doesn't work and honestly I have no idea why that would be. If one works other should work too.
For the changing texture, I guess you could copy the texture behavior of the electro magnet block, but it then it will have the shape of a logic gate, which for me is good enough, but others (perhaps including you) this may be an eyesore
You misunderstood. It is to make it easier to tell which mode the tractor beam is set to.
