Mythos RP (RP-PvP)

Season one is underway as of July 5th, 2019!

Mythos RP is provided by a professionally-hosted dedicated server.

The Mythos RP vision is to create a roleplay-centric environment where inter-player narratives can thrive and evolve from season to season. The staff team, having carefully selected the server settings, designs engaging content each season that players can choose to actively participate in, pursue stories of their own making, or both. Expect to see staff provide narrative hooks that players can follow and server events to encourage player interaction. As characters make their mark on the land around them, their names may etch themselves into the ongoing story as legends formed by the Mythos RP players.

Mythos RP staff favors transparency and player input over silence and obfuscation. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of like-minded players who are interested in telling stories together. Mythos RP is a platform that enables that kind of roleplay.

Max Players: 70
EXP Rate: 5x
Gather Rate: 3x
Crafting/Thrall-Breaking Rates: 0.5 (half the time as vanilla)
Damage Multipliers: 1x (across the board, so be careful around your clanmates!)
Avatars: Disabled (avatars are inherently weapons of mass destruction, and no matter how many rules you attach to their use, they take away from roleplay opportunities more than they add to them)
Purges: Disabled
Chat: Voice chat only - text is only allowed in local chat for emoting (we want to encourage player interactions)

PVE building server with purges (so build defensively) FRIENDLY and family-friendly server. Good community with mostly part-time players that help each other out when they are on.

LOTS of building mods including AOC faction-specific build sets, Lemurian Architect, Emberlight, GCAM, Pharaonix, Pythagoras, Limestone, Jungle set, Stygian, etc.
Age of Calamitous (adds tons to the game)
Endgame Weaponry (amazing mod that adds totally different weapons and tiers all the way to 300)

Purges are increased (Tier 6 can happen anywhere) so keep on your toes!
Players start with 2,000 encumbrance to help with building
Level 300 cap and paragon leveling system (increases chances of crits, extra resources on harvesting, etc as you level)
No wipes unless server population becomes an issue. We will turn on abandonment way before we'll consider a wipe.
Daily restart at 5:00 AM (Central Time USA UTC-6:00)
Double EXP and 3x harvesting (since it's a building server)
Custom merchants that sell items based on a payday that happens once a day in-game (must be logged in)
Custom merchants that sell various weapons and armor sets

Why MY server rather than other ones?

- Powerful hardware: Dedicated 6-core server with 64GB and 1TB SSD in Chicago, IL on dedicated 1 Gbps connection (1000 Mbps up and down)

What does all that amount to? About $200 a month. So, it's definitely better performing than someone's local server they run off their 100 mbps cable router.

- I've had servers since 2014 so longevity is assured.

- Auto-updates set for mods and game software so downtime and "mod mismatching" is very minimal.

- I have a discord where game updates, changes to the server, suggestions and chats are available. I consider ALL suggestions. Good suggestions get put to a vote.

- I run multiple types of game servers and have for years. I generally try to give the best experience I can for players that connect, but I also don't put up with errant players, trolls or griefers. I have a one-strike policy to keep the server non-toxic.

- I can be pinged on discord just about anytime (except when I'm asleep) for game issues or problems.

- I generally support (monetarily) most of the mods that I use on a regular basis like AoC, EEWA, Emberlight, etc. sometimes you'll even see custom items in those mods that the modders have graciously added with me in mind.

Primal Rage is a growing RP-PvP Server with a primitive dark fantasy theme.

Play a primitive survivor of a harsh land ravaged by disaster and set in the Stone Age. Find strength in numbers, or trust no one but yourself to avoid tribes of cannibals and savages, fellow survivors, and even monsters. While some may be friendly, many want to kill you, or worse, eat you.
