Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2

Primed Directive
Stats Idea (Please criticize)
Here's my two cents for the Primed Directive.
(oh dear god here comes the cancer)

(+) Slightly directs itself to the nearest target
(+) Bombs do not tumble in flight
(-/+) Bombs unefected by gravity
(-) -75% Clip Size
(-) -50% Reload Speed
(-) Bombs shatter on surfaces and when fuse time is over

I feel like it's pretty balanced, especially considering the debuffs. I'd find it fun to play with; the whole homing/floating grenade concept. If a bomb was reflected by a pyro, it would target the one who shot said grenade.

Here is my criticism :

''Bombs uneffected by gravity''
That would make this launcher a rocket launcher.
''Bombs shatter on surfaces and when fuse time is over''
I Dont see it as a minus. Its more both sided. It could easily help for quick splash damage.

Thats it. Great idea.

(-) -75% Clip Size
Seems like we will be dead!
-50% Reload Speed
Dead before we even did two clips!
(-/+) Bombs unefected by gravity
still a poor rocket launcher
(+) Slightly directs itself to the nearest target
auto aim bad rocket launcher
(+) Bombs do not tumble in flight
ro ko lan chr
This is a auto aim small projectile little Rocket launcher
I would say it one shots spies.and has 2 pills in it's clip. a simple yet useful launcher

2. make damage -45%

You could make this an extremely difficult weapon to use by removing the 'bombs uneffected by gravity' part, and replacing 'slightly directs itself to the nearest target' to 'bombs turn between 45-70 degrees to left', then it doesnt really lock onto a target and is also really difficult to hit someone. It would also be really good at chokes happening at a corner.

If you don't understand what im trying to say, basically when you shoot, the pill would be able to curve round a corner. You could also change from curving right or left using the right and left mouse button, but that would be really weird with the shield.

A solid 7/10, Pretty much a Loch N Load but the No Gravity stuff? ehhhh. I dont think so.

This would be balance but the No Gravity GImmick is just a monster, It could kill alot of People If the User has good Aim.

A honing weapon is a bad idea, what makes tf2 so awesome to play is the hit or miss quality of the weapons and how dodging incoming fire is heavily rewarded. People already hate playing against the huntsman because of the luck element, this would be even worse imho.

if you're aiming to do something like that you shoudn't bother trying to put it in the game, the workshop already has a bunch of weapons that will never make it to the game, but why they dont do?well that's the thing tf2 already has many weapons, wich could be just balanced to fit more the game,if your weapon stats are things that could just be put in other weapon why try and put it on the game when we have more underpowered than overpowered weapons?if you dont bring a new mechanic to the game in the core of your weapon that is fun to play an play against there's no reason in having it in the game, think about it,the weapons that were added to the game recently were the ones that had interesting mechanics, like giving a jetpack to the pyro that makes him able to try bold repositioning and close the gap between enemies, that's a type of mobility that the class would never think of having and changes a lot of things in the way that you play and play against that class, and the same goes with every other weapon, the main ideia is:it gotta be interesting.

Spitfyre37 18 Jul, 2018 @ 10:22am
what if you could toggle gravity on/off the grenades with the reload key?

What if the grenades slightly follow the player's crosshair? then shooting around corners would be possible, and it wouldnt be as difficult to fight as a homing grenade.

Yeah I think thats prety balanced stats.

It would be interesting, but pressing the reload key wouldn't be a great idea; it's the reload key. Maybe mouse3?
