Honestly, just asking questions here - What do we make of the Kiel Canal?
So...if there's no Denmark...why does Germany still have the Kiel Canal? I mean, it's not like taking the canal saves any time going around that little rump of land that is the Schleswig-Holstein peninsula thing. Is saving 1 or 2 days of transit between the Baltic and North Sea really that important?
