Does anyone know why the skin for the aberrant variant was changed so drastically? It doesn't look as visually appealing anymore and it's not really something that would have needed to change with things like the name and model to avoid copyright strikes. The original look was far more menacing and had a dangerous but beautiful vibe going on, the new one looks kinda slapdash and overly busy with the single tone chunky bright blue stripes whereas the original was more subtle, less visually cluttered and the iridescent effect was the cherry on top.
I dabble in 3D modelling and reapplying the skin to the new model wouldn't have been terribly hard and none of the other designs were changed so drastically.
