Agreed... They made a sort of lazy decision to link the stats of the weapon directly to how the weapon looks instead of to an underlying file that recognizes what you used to make it and let us use skins to change the look. Hoping they fix that soon (maybe with Fortuna? Who knows).

I doubt it's about looks representing the stats. The zaw strikes' stats are a load of random ♥♥♥♥ that's most of time close to balanced IPS except with a couple exception, meaning it doesn't reflect correctly

No, they actually stated on the forums it's because the stats of the weapon are tied directly to the look (or which parts are currently present) on the model.

I'm glad i can use Tengoken on War though. Doesn't seem to change its dmg to slash

Well, it wouldn't, cause it's not a Zaw. Only Zaws have their stats tied to the parts they're made of.

No, DE has discussed this topic already, zaw parts are directly linked to the stats, so changing the model in any way would mess the stats up. They've said they will fix it but not any time soon since it's not an easy fix and they have more important things to be doing.

That's funny cause when people asked them about disassembly they also said there are problems but from this it would seem it's be easy to separate the parts
