anyways if its down already on github than there is no reason for a port over and this matter would be resolved
The work is still in progress..it's not done yet. The reason exactly as sierra reply. They need to work among them(testing, coding etc). Steam workshop is for users, not for modders to discuss among them.
Yes I remember there was a lot of rejoicing when RW seemed to be on the last major version and all mods for that version would keep working for eternity...and then it wasn't the last major version after all.
hehe
In short, this update is a ‘commitment’ that opens the game for continued support in the future. It is a good thing, you should all be glad that it happened.
Well, just to add my two cents: This update making adding content easier looks as if you fixed the problem you've just created - without 1.1 there was no need for "laying foundtation for new contents" since all the content came from new mods that kept getting released, profiting from the era of mod stability 1.0 and no new major updates brought to this game.
Now it's almost two months after the initial 1.1 release and I'm still waiting for 30 (yes, actually counted it) mods to either get updated themselves or have CE patches updated for 1.1, in one case the author even made a statement he's not gonna update the mod because he doesn't like the direction rimworld took with the recent updates.
Due to this this whole 1.1 release feels for me more like an annoucement of a future release rather than release itself.
And before you tell me I can stick to 1.0: no I can't. Two reasons:
- I already bought royalty and want to try it out which is impossible in 1.0
- some new mods I already love are for 1.1 only (like the communicable diseases+coronvairus which I need badly for the sake of coping with the quarantine) - and, in general, this means that due to 1.1 being released I can't add new mods if I stick to 1.0 like I'd been able to without this whole mess.
