I think his point is why you choose to do the British rather than the French.

That decision was made years back, around the time of WW1: Source. Seeing as we're using a lot of assets left over from that project, making the Commonwealth the standard Entente faction saved us a lot of time and effort.

i understand , creating a all new faction is complex and requires a lot of work, but I hope that thanks to the support of the community you can create the French faction because this mod is incredible and French weapons like chauchat or RSC 1917 would bring nice mechanics ... nice works

honestly, it currently makes much more sense logistically to put in the americans first, considering they could pull a weapon or two from DOI already. i wouldnt be suprised if they ended up first in afterwards

Working for free and then being asked to work even more is even bigger non-sence. Enjoy what the mod already has to over and don't expect more for some good time.

I agree with the idea that World War One without French is not WW1. It's In FRANCE and Belgium for the Flanders, not in England or in America, so glad to see the Frenchies in the game!!

From our FAQ:
"8. Will you add more factions and theatres of war?
In contrast to the things mentioned above, entirely new factions require a whole lot more work done, like playermodels, maps, entirely new weapons and voice acting. Our time and resources are limited, and we're all working on this project for free as a hobby. Whole new factions are therefore unlikely to happen in the near future, but we're not completely ruling out the possibility."

Yeah, as I mentioned in another discussion, the French or U.S. would be more of a "there's nothing else to add because what can be done has been done so let's add something to keep it new" type of thing.
