Program stops parsing saves after 4 years
The program records data normally until 4 years in and then stops for no apparent reason, and I can't figure out why

Hi Isengriff,
thanks for reporting the problem. Can you post some more details, such as:

- Are you playing with other game mods active?
- Are you playing in ironman mode?
- Does the problem stay when you exit and re-start the program?
- Do you see any error message? If so, please include a screenshot or a copy of the text
- Which version of Windows and which Python version are you using?

-No other mods active
-Not on ironman
-It does not. I've also tried reinstalling the game, with no success
-There is one error on startup:
2018-10-01 17:38:50,968 - stellarisdashboard.save_parser - INFO - Cython extensions not available, using slow parser. Error message: "DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found.
-I'm using Windows 10 and Python 3.7.0

Ok, the error should actually still allow the dashboard to run, although it would be quite a bit slower. I can probably resolve the Cython problem in a few days.

For your actual problem, if you email me one of the failing save files to "blubblubblobb at gmail dot com", I can take a look and check if there is an issue with the dashboard code itself.

In the meantime, you could also try uninstalling Python 3.7 and installing Python 3.6 instead, which I tested more extensively. You can find it here, scroll to the bottom for links to the installer: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-366/

Changing to Python 3.6 seems to have fixed the problem for me. I can still send you the save file if you think it would be useful for you.

Also, thanks for the help, this is a really cool program!

Cool! I guess I have to test more on Python 3.7, I was a bit rushed preparing this release. No need to send the save file, I think I know the issue and will fix it when I properly publish this version.

Glad you like it, let me know if there are any other problems.
