Save Parse failing (Parser crashing, no game ID recognized)
I've tried to repeatedly use the save parser to recognize my saved games. However, each time that I try, the parser seems to crash, closing console before completion. Each time I try to access the dashboard in game, the save file isn't there, only further implying that the parser crashed before completion. I've made sure to reinstall the entire mod and zip file, made multiple saves across multiple games and checked repeatedly, removed all mods, and ensured that my saves were all local (to ensure that the parser could locate and recognize them).

The parser is clearly able to identify the save file, as it does display my empire title. However, it crashes prior to finishing its parse. What's causing this, and how can I fix it? I really love the idea of this mod, and was hoping for something like this for a while, so I hope that there's a simple solution.

Hi, thanks for letting me know about it.

Maybe you downloaded an older version? I just checked and noticed that I marked the latest release as a prerelease which makes it a bit less obvious. I just fixed that. Older versions won't work with Stellaris 3.* because something changed in the syntax of the save files

If that is not it, you can try running the dashboard from the command line, (assuming windows) you run cmd.exe and then "C:\path\to\your\dashboard\parse_saves.exe". This should stay open, so you can copy-paste any error message.

Lastly, feel free to send me a save file (or mutliple) to blubblubblobb@gmail.com and I will check if it is a bug in the application I can reproduce

You were absolutely correct, I had an older download and didn't see the prerelease. It seems to be working great now, thank you so much! I just have one question, if I start a new game with the dashboard open, do I need to save, close out of the game, run the parser, and then restart with the dashboard open? Or will the mod work with just the dashboard open from the start?

Great! Let me know of there are any other problems.

So there should be two executable files, the dashboard.exe is the main one you want run while playing. It reads all new files (and only new ones created while it is running) in the background and hosts the dashboard. The parse_saves.exe is just needed if you want to reread all existing files, for example when you have an existing game

That's what I thought, just wanted to be sure. Thanks again for your help, and for the mod!
