Pleas post any bugs that You find Here.

Note: I try to keep this mod working with other rafts mod but I can not control how others edit their mods so I can not always make it work.

Great Mod. But, I used the base raft with clip on floor then built a dwelling, floor size 4x3. have a open platform area in front where I had my agentavis. when traveling the bird slid across the floor through the walls. to get him out I had to remove a roof panel. Now it wont let me rebuild the roof saying 'too far from platform" yet it is right above the platform. I removed a window frame, which was clipped directly to the platform edge to see what would happen & now I cannot rebuilt the window. Any ideas why?

Not sure off hand. You are using the vanilla raft or the ES raft? Also, are you playing single player or on a dedicated server?

after some testing i have figured out that it is only in single player or so it seems. I am looking into a fix and will try to patch it ASAP.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I used the ES raft and I am playing single player. another thing I noted. I Bulit another raft (using es raft) with a similar design dwelling. It all appears ok except for the Pteradon I parked on the (flat) roof area. It slowly sunk about halfway through the floor\ceiling. When I tried to hop on to fly It out I couldnt. I eventually ...disposed of the bird. I then tried my Agentavis and noted this also, sometimes, started to sink through the floor very slowly. I parked it in different areas and most times it was ok but as i say occasionally it would sink. Also when traveling the birds slide around the floor roof area but this is not confined to the ES raft, it also does this on the standard raft configuration. Dont get me wrong I love the ES raft, it makes for a new concept in house boating. :-) . I dont have the skills for moding so, great work.

The dinos sliding and possibly the sinking may be an issue with rafts in general. I have experienced both before i started modding. The issue of not being able to place structures after logging is 100% an issue with the platform. Unfortunately i haven't found a fix yet. I a actually looking into revamping the way the platforms hook to the raft. The bad thing is it will not be a fast process because i am still learning as i go and have limited time to work on it. I really appreciate the feed back and apologize for the issues. As i work on it i will keep you updated.

All good we appreciate what you are doing. Good luck with the process.

G'day R0UFiO, many thanks for the awesome work so far, I'm enjoying this little mod as all I want is a good, snappable raft platform for building mobile homes and workshops on, and a bit of a speed boost - your mod is perfect for me, so I'd like to help!

Been using for a couple of days now, here's what I've found for you. Apologies if these are already listed.
\\Singleplayer\TheIsland\WoodenRafts experience only at this point, no other raft mods active. I have not tested the ES Metal Raft gear yet:

1. ES Wooden Raft Platform and ES Wooden Raft Hut attach to both ES and vanilla Rafts fine and allow building as normal until quitting the instance.

2. On both the ES and vanilla Wooden Rafts, I can build and place structures and furniture normally until I exit the instance. After reloading, if I remove a fitting from the Raft (torch, campfire, forge, ceiling - doesn't seem to matter) on attempting to replace the fitting I see the 'Structure Too Far From Platform' error. If I've got the houseboat complete in one go then that's okay, but I can't then come back and move anything unless I remove the Wooden Raft Platform (destroy the entire build) and restart.

2A. Returning the raft to the initial build location on the map ('shipyard') does not rectify the above, so there is no 'virtual' Platform at build site which allows replacement of fittings.

3. In identical setups (singe chair, sail visible, same map location) against the vanilla Wooden Raft, the ES Wooden Raft does not allow the casting of a fishing rod. Tested and verified at multiple fishing locations.

4. ES Rafts plays nicely with what I call the 'Plus Suite' (Structures, Pillars, Platforms Plus), as well as my other unrelated mods (mainly Advanced Thatch). Plus Suite and AT buildings attach and react identically to vanilla ones - including exhibiting the bug at point 2.

Again mate, the work is appreciated and a good simple raft mod makes a worthy addition to my subs. Please yell out if I can help at all - restarting/trying stuff for you in SP isn't an issue.

Cheers,

Justin

Thanks for the report and the time put in to laying it out. I am putting out an update within 48 hours that in testing so far has fixed the relog issues in sigle player. Not being able to fish from the raft is a new issue that i was not aware of and i will look into.

The speed of acknowledgement is greatly appreciated mate. No pressure from my end, I am enjoying it immensely and am able to work with the current status. Cheers, keep up the top work!

The update for "platform out of range" errors in single player is live. Please have it a go and let me know how it works.

Wow, you're quick mate - thankyou!

Quick report for you, looking good!

1. No 'Too Far From Platform' errors on ES Wood and ES Metal Rafts after quitting the instance - I can now delete, replace and add things as per normal after a reload on TheIsland (I'll test the rest of the maps for you tonight).

2. Fishing remains impossible on both ES Wood and Metal Rafts.

3. When placing ceilings to extend the buildable area on both ES Wood and ES Metal Platforms, the first ceiling destroys itself. Placing a ceiling in the same spot results in the second ceiling attaching (more for your own info than anything - not an issue)

4. The snapping of ceilings to and above the platform is 'jittery'. This occurs with S+, Advanced Thatch and vanilla ceilings, and is also present when attaching ceilings as floors on multi-storey buildings. By 'jittery', I mean that they very quickly alternate between orientations when preparing to lay. They still lay, and 60% of the time they orient correctly, so this is another one for your information than anything.

Your progress is greatly appreciated R0UFiO, thanks again and keep up the good work!

Justin

Thanks so much for the feed back.

Most welcome. Yell out if you need anything else mate. Thanks again for your work!

One more for you found just now mate:

1. On destroying the ES Metal Raft from below the water surface, the breathing buff remains active indefinitely, until you move into the buff zone of another ES Raft. Doesn't matter if you're in or out of the water, the buff, sound effects and status icon remain until you pass into the buff zone of another raft.

Cheers!

I too have had a good play on the revised raft. Like Justin all working good, can remove & replace walls & items with no problems. Cannot comment on the metal raft as I havent used this. The animals sliding around the floor I mentioned appears to be confined to the birds. The few land animals I have tried dont have the same problem. I know this isnt a ES raft issue but if you fixed this that would be awsome, but its something I can live with. My wife & I play the game regularly. your raft is a valuable addition to the game, great work, look forward to any new additions you may produce. 5 stars from us.
