Friendly Gnome
Ignite Tool doesn't kill it
So I tried killing it the traditional way: using the Ignite tool. The Gnome was burning but it didnt play the hurt sounds and didn't hover in the air and then say "Oh ♥♥♥♥!" and disappear. It just acted like it wasn't on fire and just kept following me. If you've encountered the problem before and found a solution, please reply a solution and why he isn't dying.

Okay, let's take some deep breaths. In. Out. In, then out. Good.
Now, reread his post . Read your reply. Reread his post again.

He asked why the creator of this entity didn't script the gnome to hover in midair and die, as the original Friendly Gnome once did. The remover tool was also utterly useless against the original gnome.
Now, you may be right or wrong about the effects of the Remover tool on the workshop Gnome. I haven't actually tested it yet, and if the creator of the workshop gnome left out the Ignite tool's effect, maybe he also forgot to run a respawn script on the gnome. More to the point, however, do you really think that's an appropriate tone for a reply?

Uh... I'm not much of a modder... All I did was change it from a companion cube to a gnome and changed a few values. I'm not sure how to do the rest, and in old scripts I found, there wasn't anything I could pull from there to make it have the floating death animation and stuff.
I like gnomes.

The only way to at least kill him or remove him is "Clear Everthing." duh....

I just wanted to see the classic way to kill him.

Believe me, I would love to have it that way, I'm just no pro-coder.

Maybe you could ask the original modder or find the old toybox one and check its code for the animation and stuff.

I tried like hell to find the ToyBox one, only found different ones on garrysmod.org that didn't include the fire death.

Make gnome copy feature first, then ignite death feature. FOR MADNESS. Because he is :spycon:

I'll take a look, maybe I could find it, download it, then email it to you.

Found it, look for angry gnomes on garrysmod.org, then download it. It'll be a zip file called gnome.zip, it's a modification of teta_bonita's angry chickens. I saw a picture of a multicolored explosion thingy, which most likely is the original gnome's death sequence.

Your right. The "Multicolored explosion thingy" is part of the death sequence.

Well, I just wanted Gigabyte to download it and take a look at it. He should be able to update it and release it as an update to his other gnome, while giving credit to the creator of the original gnome. Btw, Gmod 13 doesn't have the ignite tool.
