yeah this happened for us as well a friend can longer maintain three permenant summons and the book has absolutely no effect either

The latest version is on the Nexus and it's working for me at this date and time. The steam version may be an older version.

it sometimes works temporarily if you go into the book and first set it to DE default (1) and then hit the other option to make it 3
