Tutorial: How to Replace Seaxes with Swords
This tutorial uses the "Pack File Manager" to mod this game. If you don't already have it, then simply download it for free and go through the initialization process.

1.
Once you've opened PFM, in the top left corner, click File > Open. Then browse to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\712100\1503363514

Doubleclick the axes_are_seaxs.pack file to open it in PFM.

2.
Once inside, in the top left corner, open:

variantmeshes > variantmodels > man > weapons

3.
Rightclick vik_axes_bearded_01.variantmeshdefinition, then click Open > Open as text.

4.
Copy-paste the following into the right window and REPLACE everything:

<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_02/vik_sword_viking_02.rigid_model_v2" imposter_model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_01/vik_sword_viking_01.rigid_model_v2" />
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_03/vik_sword_viking_03.rigid_model_v2" imposter_model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_01/vik_sword_viking_01.rigid_model_v2" />
<VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_04/vik_sword_viking_04.rigid_model_v2" imposter_model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/weapons/vik_sword_viking_01/vik_sword_viking_01.rigid_model_v2" />

Do the exact same thing for the other variantmeshdefinition files.

Save the changes and you're all done.
