there is a pickaxe somewhere, i dont remember where, but it does "rot"-damage.
this is the one you need to mine vains.

I found it on the Fort Joy Island (I think after escaping from Fort Joy)

Pickaxe was found in an under ground area with 2 or 3 large chunks of ore to be mined. Pickaxe was on the floor, and for me those chunks of ore I had to force attack them for it to work. The Titanium ore gave me nothing after mining it.

You need the Miner's Pickaxe to mine them. There are 3 kinds of pickaxes in the game with this mod, the Scrapper's Pickaxe,a regular Pickaxe, and then there's the Miner's Pickaxe. The Miner's Pickaxe does Rot damage or something (which the ore veins do not have immunity to). You need to equip the Miner's Pickaxe and then force attack the ore vein (can be done by holding Ctrl and then left clicking or right click and selecting 'Attack').

I believe you can find it on Fort Joy island in Act I. Think my friend got it in one of the caves (think it was either Radeka's near the dragon or the Trompdoy cave).

what to do with this ore?

I've scoured almost the entirety of Fort Joy and the marsh and have yet to find the miner's pickaxe. I only have the maze and the rose cave left to do. I'm at a loss where to find this thing and it's seemingly the only tool that can't be crafted. Any suggestions on where I could find it would be greatly appreciated.

Update: It's in the blood rose cave.

So... Any pickaxe like this available in the rest of the game? As I seem to have missed it there.

would also like to know if I can get a pickaxe after act1, missed it on act 1 now on act 2.

is there any other pickaxe in the rest of the game? didnt see the one in act 1.. and im in act 2 now....

just adding that im having the same issue, i added the mod in act 2 and cant find this mining pickaxe.

same issue. cant find that pickaxe. im in act 2. does this mean this mod is useless if i miss those pickaxes from act 1?

found a mining pick location. Its in the cave next to the ice dragon in act one in a wheelbarrow

Any rot-based weapon will work. I have a pair of Shadow wands for just this purpose

To be honest, you aren't missing much if you don't have the ores as they still do nothing right now. Eventually we will get items that use them, but that will be in a future update - whenever that comes out.
