In the world of War Paints, it's easy to occuse one for being dirty simply because always the only difference is in coloring, not models
There are lots of watermelon warpaints on the workshop, you don't seem to complain about those.
A new low? A spelling error? your being so pedantic in order to be toxic to this guy.
I can vouch for the texture being their own considering the difficulty they had with the specular map, its just a similar theme considering the one you pointed to is based off of the NES light blaster, and this the US SNES.
In short cool your jets.
You claim that the only difference between this design and the one I helped make is the color being changed from orange to purple. This is completely false as you easily left out many more differences in order to create outrage from nothing.
-The stickers on both designs are completely different, with ours being a spoof of the NES Zapper's logo on the side, with this design's sticker being a stylized version of Saxton Hale made to look similar to Mario.
-The gray patterns on both weapons look similar at first, but one could easily see that the groove patterns on both are much different with this design having much more grooves than ours.
-The beige pattern on our design features engraved text and four grooves near the bottom, where this design has none.
-Both designs have different textures used on each of the patterns.
The biggest similarity between both designs is that they're both based off past Nintendo console color palettes. Even if the makers behind this design were inspired by ours, it's not plagiarism. I really like this design personally and I'd like to see it implemented into the game. The devs behind this design have talent and I can appreciate it. To call it plagiarism is to ignore the talent of the people who made it and to further restrict creativity. Just because someone popularized or created an idea first, doesn't mean anyone isn't allowed to be inspired by it and make something similar.
I get it's based on the same product but quite literally the only difference is a color change.
The orange is now purple & has been given the exact same pattern as the gray part (which is incredibly lazy.) There's a mascot emblem too, but it looks terrible so I didn't want to acknowledge it. Someone probably drew that in ten minutes.
This is also Vipes, a guy who has been in hot water for dubious workshop submissions before, whether it's plagiarism or weirdness with submission rights. People have the right to know he's still up to his old tricks.
There is so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to begin. I've never plagiarized any workshop item. I never had any issues with submission rights. All the "hot water" I've been in is just a few people making ♥♥♥♥ up.
You plagiarized an item right now, we're in a discussion thread pertaining to it.
You also blatantly take existing map textures & post them on the workshop as a unique 'item' you made.
And that's not even bringing up your blatant theft of already-existing concepts. You do this a lot, and it's extremely conspicuous.
Your submissions are the sole reason I wish the workshop item voting queue allowed me to filter specific users. Everything you seem to submit is either stolen or you didn't actually contribute anything to it.
1) I did not plagiarize the zapper skin. One is a zapper, one is a snes. Mine also has custom wear.
2) Would you like for me to pull up the raw textures and you try to find a match?
3) It's a hood.
4) My submission was submitted before Tomb Readers.
Nothing I've done is stolen, and I do contribute to any submission I'm on.
Did you not read the post I made? I literally explained why the design isn't plagiarism.
Also whether or not you like the mascot emblem is not relevent at all.
and as the person who made 80% of the textures of our warpaint, i can clearly say that the textures used in this warpaint are not similar, at all
this warpaint is really well made.
