-F.A.Q- Please Read Before Asking
- FOR THE LOVE OF THE DEVINE STOP ASKING IF THE ANSWER IS HERE -

Q: "What does this mod do?"

A: "If you need to ask, I don't think we'll get along. For real, it's in the title."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Why does Race/Gender X/Y have options missing!?"

A: "The mod is still being worked on, chill. If there is something you think should be included, say so instead of just stating something is missing; between making new assets and deciding on old ones to keep it can become a bit much."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Does this mod disable achievements?"

A: "All mods that you have to enable, disable achievements. Go to the Nexus to pick up a mod that re-enables them. I use it myself because why should looking awesome take away your cheevos?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Can I use this on an existing character?"

A: "Yes, but be aware that if you enable on an existing character some things may change due to a change in assets order. To fix this issue just start a new save game or find a respec mirror and change to the desired look. This is not a bug, it's to make it easier for me to check the order at a glance."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "How do I change the color of the blindfold/other options?"

A: "You can't; eventually I will enable them to take the color of your hair or skin. If you have a better way of doing this feel free to say something."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Can you add race/gender 'X's' hair to race/gender 'Y'?"

A: "Sure, but it takes time. You can't just apply one model to another combination of race and gender; the model needs to be edited to fit the head/height of the gender/race (All genders and races have different heights from each other."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Can you fix the clipping for this mesh?"

A: "Yes, do tell me if you have any issues. Bear in mind, I will not fix ALL clipping as some of these assets were not meant to be used in this way, but anything minor I will fix."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Can you add X or Y?"

A: "I don't do requests; not for the reason you may think, but because there is an engine limitation to the number of models I can add to each visual set *I.E The limit to heads added is 15*."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Do I need the Classic Edition mod?"

A: "Using the classic version will cause issues for you. If you're using the classic version with the DE version then you are on your own. I will not help you."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: "Where's the Demon/Meat Golem Skin, I can't find it??????"

A: "I doubt you'll get this far in the F.A.Q. Check Undead Male Lizards every update."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: "Where are the mod files located/downloaded to?"

A: "[Location of mod files] - S:\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods (S: = The drive your documents folder is located)

[Location of CCP in steam workshop files] - B:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\435150\1513771991 (B: = The drive you installed DOS2 onto)"

Q: "How do I change the colour of the blindfold/other options?"

A: "I honestly don't know, if you do, please feel free to say something about it. Seriously, I'm sick of the ugly green blindfold Lizards are forced to use. I have yet to figure this out, whatever dictates this is a mystery to me."

I beileve in order to change this you have to go find which model is used for character creation, and then edit that one's color in it's visual resource. Editing origin characters through is easy, but i've been struggling on how to do it to a custom character.

Tried that, no dice. Found a solution that makes it so it takes on the color of either the skin or hair. This only works with models that have SKN textures.

When do you think you'll be able to update the mod to do that, and will it work for the masks?

Yes and Yes.

Well, I guess we won't get along :/ Your title doesn't say whether this is a purely cosmetic mod or if it affects starting racial talents, abilities, etc. It doesn't talk about what files are altered so that we know whether another mod will be incompatible. There's no harm in extra clarity. Without trying this mod, I really have no idea exactly what has been added or changed, even if it is just textures and meshes. That's just my two cents.

@TheMule - I was being facetious, but I'm not sure what to say, it's pretty cut and dry.

- It adds more options for character creation, says so in the description.

"Ever feel like the character creator was lacking?

Maybe you wanted to look more unique?

You think any race that isn't Human got stiffed?

Well, this mod is for you!

With Character Creation Plus new options will be added to all races and genders available in the game to remedy an issue I had with the character creator options; there just wasn't enough of them.

New assets, New uses for assets that weren't used for CC."

If you want specifics on what I did, I made copies of the hero visual resource so as to not mess with the base game at all, the game then reads the information from the copies linked to the orignals. I then add models to the list and the list tells the game what to display when you go into character creation.

I add pre-existing assets (I.E Beasts hat as a hairstyle) and my own editted assets (I.E The Sea Elf Head etc). I even add to the "Facial Hair" options visual so as to create more options for people to create their character.

The only thing that's incompatible with the mod is the old version of the mod, nothing else I have tried has caused issues. My mod list is 60+ atm and no issues related to my mod. You can drop this mod right at the top of the load order and it will work with out issue.

The majority of issues that are brought to me tend to be: User error, or the issue detailed here http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=648980 which again, not due to my mod, but due to game directories that have umbridge with non Latin based characters (As in letters/numbers etc)

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate how much work you've put into this, it's awesome. I've since subscribed to your mod, and I love it! I just want to say that what I was really getting at in my previous comment was that, purely from your mod description, it wasn't apparent what was changing. It might seem obvious to you as the creator when you reread it, but it doesn't advertise what it actually is to someone who just happens to stumble upon it. What I think the beginning of your description should say is something like this: "This mod adds options in the character creation menu that are purely cosmetic/aesthetic. No stats, talents, or anything that would affect actual gameplay were altered. It is compatible with all other mods." That information, in my opinion, would increase the number of people subscribing to your mod, because it would make it absolutely and unequivocally clear to anyone who reads it what your mod does.

A possible way to change the color of the cloak or blindfold might be to use the color of the headgear. This can be changed with Rendals armor mods, when the colored headgear is hidden it could still apply.

Of course this would be dependant on that mod.

Ah i was wondering where some of the female stuff went though im chill in waiting for it BUT it does raise the question from me Is the code or what ever you using to mod or use these assests diffrent in the DE version of the game?
i have never tried my hand at modding this game (did once for skyrim made a basic dog follower in a hour or two) so i dont want to sound rude where couldnt it be a copy paste for the races cosmetics like file path wise to the assets or am i making it sound too simple?

Thig is, the DE version did used to have most of the female stuff, I'm not sure why he removed them.

why im asking is the method of reaching them with the tools we have diffrent could be a matter of there in the game just a diffrent method of reaching them or reaching them and getting them rigged for a player is diffrent for a NPC like i said idk how to mod this game besides pressing the green button and the odd mod form the nexus

as said before im willing to wait since im aware these things take time and im willing to wait i was mostly wondering on the prossess of taking something from a NPC and making it apply for a player race(s) if it was any diffrent from classic if it wasnt it would have been ported rather then remade so something is most likely diffrent in either coding files or something else

I swear I looked so if it's been said I am sorry for being "that guy".
But I take it there is no way to put a tail on say, the human race?
Saw the fox...ishhh tail on the undead lizard in the pics and got really exiced for "fox girl"
Much disapoint when I couldn't. But not your fault.

It there an mod limit that does not allow adding more race races? Or things like tails to human race? Figure adding custom ones would be a ton of work from a model / mesh standpoint but I'd be fine with someone tapeing the fluffy on you have. I assume it's just for the undead to "hide" his bone tail but would be neat if you had plans to add it.

Know you "don't take requests" so it's more of a question if you plan to add it? If you even can.
Ether way neat mod, thanks for taking the time to make it. :D:

Ayyy believe it or not, I don't think I've been asked this before.

Hmm I think I tried once, but it just didn't work, I figured it's due to the human races don't have the animation/skeleton needed to make it work/ I tried to add the bones for the tail, but without animations tied to the human races there was no dice.

I'm unsure how to make it work since animation was never my bag. I would actually want to add something like this. True, I don't take requests (as this would lead to a liteny of issues what with the limited slots per race and gender). I do however weigh the coolness factor when reading peoples ideas :)

Tl;Dr: I am unsure how to make this idea work, but I would love to be able to add it for people that would want to play a Bestial Race other than Lizardmen.

P.S: I am currently working on a full on Demon Kin Race with custom armor that properly fits the race. After that I may look into making a Lycan/Beastial race with features like a Fox/Wolf

Ah, I see.
Thanks for the reply.

I'll give your race mod a try for sure. I'd offer to help. but my art skills go as far as MS paint...
