If you are having trouble finding the Dead Jedi around Riverwood (a lot of people seem to be)...


Follow the road as normal, down the path to Riverwood. You will first pass the Three Standing Stones (the ones that can give you perks such as Warrior, Thief, or Mage), and if you keep walking that road you will come across the dead jedi BEFORE you reach Riverwood. He is not actually inside of Riverwood, but you can see the entrance to the town from the spot at which you find his body.

Leave Riverwood and head down the path to the South (you can use your map to figure out which way is South). The Dead Jedi will be on that path, just a "stone's throw" from the southern entrance of Riverwood. If you follow the path all the way up to the Three Standing Stones, you have gone too far!
