Diversity (In the modern sense) has no place in nature, nor in this game. If you consider cultural homogeneity as a "bad thing", then you might as well regard Mother Nature herself as a racist.
That being said, I am not against having diverse peoples in the game. I am, however, against diverse colonies and/or factions. Until there's a mod that can change this, I'm going to use "White Only", exclusively.
As an honest and culturally proud "White Man", I favour my race/nations/culture over others. As can be readily observed: all peoples of all colours will prefer those who are like themselves--both in behaviorism, and in appearance.
There is nothing wrong with being white, and if you are white, there's nothing wrong with embracing it. Saying anything to the contrary is, in-and-of-itself, racist.

I have no idea why I just typed a paragraph about this. Hope I don't come across as racist.
Gotta say its rare to see someone intentionally miss the point that hard. It is true that people subconsciously gravitate towards their own race in an unfamiliar crowd, because that's what the human brain has been evolutionarily wired to do, to find those similar. But we moved past that tribalistic thinking once people learned to put their differences asides and work together. Societies leap forward together when information is shared, because all you're doing is adding more minds to the human network.
No one has any issue about people celebrating heritage and culture. However, "pride" in race and country do lead to racism and nationalism. If you want to be proud of a country, be proud of all the members that put in their lives to make it great. Because that's what a nation really is. The people.
We are all human, and all started life as an orgasm.
Stay humble
Read the tower of Babel story. We're not meant to "move past" it, and as such God made it impossible. When it is tried to make multiple groups live together in one country, said country starts to degenerate from law & order into chaos. The different groups each only care about their own. There will never be a "New multicultural man", this is how it is, how it is supposed to be, and how it will always be; racism is natural, God-given, and fundamentally good.
Moreover, modern "multiculturalism" & the mass migration required to create it is just a ploy by our upper classes to devalue the labour of the workers. There is no practical difference between the American ruling class importing slaves from East-Africa, the Australian ruling class kidnapping & buying pacific islanders in centuries past and the modern Western ruling class bringing the third world into White countries. They want large masses of brown slaves too disconnected from their heritage & unintelligent to question their rule, instead of White men who they have to pay a living wage and carefully manage through deception lest they rise up against them.
You are helping these evil Capitalists make you a slave. Remember that the next time you call somebody "racist". And as for the so-called "Conservatists" who recoil in fear when they're called such instead of answering "Yes, I am" with their head held high, remember that that is exactly the response the Capitalists in Hollywood have been conditioning in you for decades.
earth got many skin color types, races and ethinicities so why not a group of some ethinicity can build a spaceship and go there and colonize a planet? so in that planet there is only people of thar "race".
its simple logic actually, not racist at all since you can make a colony with any color with that slider.
example: lets say only the Chinese get into a planet first and colonize it, and lets say that as it is in rimworld, it takes a long time for space travel, criptosleep is proof ot that concept.
so until another nation/race comes to the same planet could be hundreds of years so the entire population of that planet would be only chinese or some mutation of it if you include genetic diversion with a new enviroment.
agan, its simple logic.

Reread your Bible again. The Tower of Babel is in the Old Testament, part of the Old Law. Jesus died to abolish the Old Law and create the New Law, as written in the New Testament.
According to the story of Babel, human beings had already united as a human race after The Great Flood—they spoke a single language and all migrated eastward—and tried to build a tower together to become closer to God. God, apparently, didn't like humans finding peace without Him and didn't want to be closer to them, so He confounds their speech and scatters them around the world.
This story is about the origin of languages, not skin color. It is not impossible to learn a different language. They could have all had the same skin color at this point in time—especially considering this is an origin myth from Genesis—but because He scattered them about, they physically adapted to their various environments over the millennia. This story teaches that it is natural for humans to come together to cooperate for the greater good, particularly after a significant traumatic event. It is unnatural to be punished for cooperation by an otherworldly force.
I had to step in here because I can't stand it when people use the Bible as justification of moral superiority for things like racism and slavery. If a person is racist or doesn't have any issues with slavery, they shouldn't use any book to cowardly hide behind.
And no, people could not have had the same skin color at any point along a bible timeline (unless you're a mormon, anyway), since evolution doesn't happen that fast. It is, as you say, entirely a myth.
Modernity figured out how to own laborious time for a trickle of rights with monetary compensation. I'm with Erik that the modern day workplace is a modern version of wage slavery, but, it is not the physical slavery of the past. We can't post certain things on our own personal social media accounts without "getting in trouble" with our employer, but the enslaved of the past couldn't utter certain words without getting physically beaten to death. I had to take pics of 'potty breaks' when I was pregnant to prove to my employer that I was actually going to the bathroom and not trying to "use my condition" to get extra breaks. That's a minor inconvenience to someone getting flogged for needing to pee. It's not right, and probably not legal, but it's not the worst thing that could have happened.
Leviticus has some pretty egregious instructions on how to treat the enslaved, though. There are some pretty scary instructions on how to treat children, too. The eternal implications of divorce are quite scary, as well. Which is why none of that makes any sense if Jesus supposedly died to replace it all with something new.
I imagine that people, in general, think that all of the characters mentioned in Genesis had the same skin color—be it light or dark, depending on their perspective or how they were raised. I do love me some BoM every time it mentions, "white and delightsome". Kidding, of course.
So, Adam and Eve (and Lilith, depending on which Biblical version is read) and their sons likely had the same skin color. It is Biblically understood that Adam and Eve were the first humans. When Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden—surprise!—there were already other tribes full of other people outside the garden. Who's to say that Adam, Eve, and their sons weren't one race while the other tribes were other races? Or, they were all the same race because they were all in the same kind of climate? Cain having a "mark" bestowed upon him is "proof" of melanin being "poofed" into existence for some religious people.
Adaptation can happen fairly quickly, but, you're right, not evolution. Like how vast the earth truly is—evolution takes a long, long time. I find it fascinating that some elephants in Africa have short or no tusks now. About thirty years ago their tusks were long but because they have been hunted aggressively for ivory over the years, each successive child adapted toward smaller and smaller tusks. That's some really smart adaptation.
Honestly, the Babel story reminds me of the choice between Fear and Love. Humans had already chosen love, God decided to choose fear.
To speak of the mod at hand, the most entertaining thing about this series of mods is that players can just create the same effect using the more popular 'Prepare Carefully' mod. I clicked on this mod because I was curious how it differed from anything I could do in PC. I'm looking for a mod that offers darker skin-tones than the base game skin-tones. I shall keep looking.
