How about an offensive Medigun?
As soon as I saw this set, I saw it as an opportunity to have a Medigun that damages enemies.

The obvious argument against this, is the obvious detriment of actually having a Medic, but having one that does not in fact heal. It would be situational, but I could see a a Medigun that has some potential offensive property as a huge shakeup in the game.

How about if you score the kill with the medigun, it converts the enemy into a temporary minion that attacks its prior teamates? I dunno.

Thoughts?

i agree the idea seems like it shouldent be something that heals
so why heal at all?
+ jarate effect on target while locked
+ uber will have pulses like vaccinator and do an instant 25 dmg
+ 100% uber rate when under effect of jarate
= 1/2 DPS of needlegun (landing every shot)
- 50% uber rate
- while fireing no health regen on user
- on warer penelty of friendly jarate and milk will affect warer

demos are obviously suppoused to use bombs but you sometimes see demos just be demoknights without any explosive weapons on em, so why not have an offensive medic?

I like the Idea of an offensive medigun, It can Have an Extended Range, Damage of 10 points by second, Minicrits Mark, and can't heal friends, u don't regenerate health when using
I think it should have half healing rate, but can damage enemies for equal damage per second as the healing per second on allies. Would be cool. And useful.

Definitely should have some healing/defensive mode on it. Also, what about the uber then?

The uber I could see being the main part of the gun actually. Buffing its damage and slowing the enemy perhaps? I could see it change to a harsher, more electrifying uber stream or perhaps even going the route the set seems to put off and make it poison the enemy. When used on teamates it makes their attacks poison the enemy they attack?

The idea of this being an offensive ONLY medigun is good, yet people would complain about no healing. So I think it should be like the Vacinator, where you could switch modes. Mode 1 being offensive mode, and Mode 2 being defensive mode. It's a plan that would make everyone happy. :3

I see this as an offensive vaccinator with mini-ubers. Maybe you could cycle throught damage types, or de-buff types, and uber would do about 25-30 damage. On the negative side, you would have the reduced health regen, and have no overheal like the overdose.

If it is offensive there should be no need for ubercharge all together right?

I've been dreaming of a medi gun that can "anti-heal" the other team, this would be perfect!!! VALVE, PRETTY PLEASE!!
ttv drigotine 16 Jun, 2013 @ 12:32pm
it could suck the enemys health while it adds to yours, cant heal teammates.

Another Idea Too! It can make the medic hear the enemy's MEDIC! call, but the icon can be the "Hazard" instead of a "Cross"

The only way I could see this being implemented at all is if it could heal AND debuff. Probably an aura that increases how much damage people near your target take? Otherwise, the lock-on of the medi-gun would really screw things up, and it would be impractical as you'd have to stand right next to them as a squishy class. Other than that, it's just a workshop item, and only Valve's gonna have any say in what happens.

What if you can heal and hurt, but you have to actually aim it, and it doesn't latch onto people?

What about -15% uber charge rate, 10 dps, and instead of ubercharge it shoots out a short ranged blast of biochemical waste that will quickly melt enemies?
