Nothing Spawning On Gen2
It might be obvious since the spawn zones are super different but nothing is spawning in gen2.

Not true I have a "baby" spawner that spawns babies with parents working just fine.

till the additions are added to g2, you could add them with simple spawners

As posted in the comments, this mod seems to break Giga spawns on Gen2 as well.

Going to have to have patience before we see this mod working automatically on gen2, when the devkit releases this and many more mods will be able to update spawns and add new mechanics and functionality in new creatures, items and structures. In the meantime as stated above simple spawners works wonders, or you can use ini spawn container adjustments if you are comfortable with working in the game files.

As such I've already gotten several responses, and am already using Simple Spawners.

Any mod that alters vanilla dinos will work, an example would be pugnacia or primal fear. If a dino exists, say for primal fear a rex could be spawned in as an alpha (not to be confused with the normal alpha rex) or a toxic, ect. It just won't spawn the dinos that are not native to the map.
