Make these replace L4D2 Crew
Is there a way to make them replace the L4D2 survivors?

Is there a way to merge this with the one from the workshop here (that is supposedly more up to date than a 2018 version)?

A. No, I am not going to port these models to the L4D2 cast.

B. View Arms are still out of my personal expertise. I don't want to ship view arms that "work" but are not up to scratch to the work TRS did on the initial content. Would rather have the L4D1 arms with incompatibilities than a half-baked view arm that theoretically works. Sure, that may not make any sense to literally anyone besides myself, but it is my addon and my choice at the end of the day.

C. That GameMaps addon is just a reupload of an ancient version of this addon with view arms by BuffaloAlmond89. Ryan throws a fit constantly in-regards to me having the addon taken down on Workshop claiming I have no right to take it down. Going on and on about how his addon is completely different from mine (which it's not) and how Splinks allowed me to make my versions of the Survivors a separate addon. Which Splinks allowed because my addon wasn't the same addon as his and didn't contain any of his work beyond some placeholder content for the hair in my addon.

D. The only way to make it so you can have the view arms and the Survivors from this addon is to repackage the VPK. (Just don't upload it, and if you do have to upload as a backup on Workshop, just leave it as "Friends Only" or "Private," shouldn't cause any issues.)

E. Blinking is something I commented out and can be enabled at any point, it wasn't in the flex list I found for the TRS Survivors. It is possible it just wasn't in the list due to being a generic flex controlled by the game, or the TRS Survivors never actually blinked. Never got around to comparing the flex list with HL2's lists or other Source games flex lists, have other more important things to do than L4D modding. My B4B addons only came to exist because I set aside time for B4B and was vastly disappointed with the game, so I put my free time into porting the content to L4D2.

To answer some other long standing questions:
- Yes, I have asked people to help me out with the view arms for BOTH games. No one was willing to help. Buffalo offered his arms to me and I did sample them. I was not happy with the quality and politely declined through the person who sent me them. No idea if that message was ever relayed to Buffalo however. Also, the L4D1 View Arms have issues too as they currently lack their helper bones.

- Yes the unfinished view arms bother me that they remain that way. But until I can find someone I can trust to convert them, they will remain this way.

- Yes, I have tried to get a dead body Bill made for The Passing, but nothing ever materialized. No, the one floating around is not for this addon, its a fan one made for Splinks' Survivors.

- Yes, I do in fact have a back catalog of TRS addons I want to finish and publish. Yes, I also have published 95% of my TRS restorations, remakes, and original content in that L4D Zero Mega release. No, they're not all finished or game ready and I wanted to get the most finished work out of it and finish it up as addon releases. Will I ever do it? Depends on free time and motivation, which I rarely have either for this content. No, I still do not support people re-releasing the content.

- No, I do not take down other beta/TRS mods, only reuploads of my work and work from L4D Zero. Anyone who claims I have is either lying or is purposefully trying to deceive people. There is an underground cult dedicated over cut L4D content (namely the work from L4D Zero and the stuff I put out) ran by someone who had obtained leaked L4D Zero content and tried to publish it as his own and groom others to leak it for him too. This cult was the reason my Workshop went down for a few months as any new release would start being traded for leaked work. Leaked work was also being traded for Achievements and Marketable Items. I've seen what's been said and done in that cult, it's a bunch of kids in a server ran by adults and some of the ♥♥♥♥ that goes on in there is genuinely creepy and vile. There was also a situation where someone found an animation we recreated for L4D Zero, thought it was TRS' original work, then someone else in the server went into TRS' Discord and started bragging about how they restored it, got called out in the cult server, then they threatened to kill themself over it. People of the same cult also seemly bullied a person to remove their SFM port of these Survivors because they credited me for the work I did on the Survivors and seemly lied about me to them to paint me as some sort of villain. This also only scratches the surface of that server/cult.

- Yes, I do take down content from Left 4 Dead Beta Remake, but that merely on the request of the original developers whom transferred the rights to their work to me (or at least permission to make sure it doesn't resurface.) Why is this? They're greatly embarrassed by the work they produced for that project overall and generally don't like seeing it reuploaded.

- No, that 2007 HUD is not by Jewel23, it's based upon a leak of BS-HUD V3 that I was working on with Robertto. Yes it is modified, but the modifications are not good (in my opinion.) No, I do not have intentions of releasing BS-HUD V3 or any version of BS-HUD on the Workshop. Robertto did not want it online anymore nor does it work as well as I would ever like it to. It is a hacked together pile of poo. Also, there would be extreme incompatibilities with existing mods due to the portraits. The official revisions are available in the L4D Zero Mega.

- No, I have not actually taken down every modification of my Survivors. Certain versions I allow to co-exist as they are doing things I don't have intentions to do on my Survivors. Like making the medkit placement more akin to the final Survivors or making them replace other Survivors. Typically I don't care if there's a transformative change done to them and proper credits are provided. I start caring when it is outright reuploads of the Survivors (especially with bogus fixes claimed) or when people start claiming they're the creator of the work.

- No, these aren't from a pre-release build of L4D nor do their sources exist in their entirety. I only merely received the mesh data and a few of their textures, the rest I have to remake and rewrite. Louis was also spliced together between two versions of his mesh data (2006 body and 2008 head.) Fun Fact! Early on we did not have access to his 2006 mesh, but had access to his 06/07 texture, so Robertto modified the 2008 mesh to look more like the 2007 model. This version of Louis was what leaked prior to this release!

- A lot of information about L4D's development released by certain people in this community (namely those in that cult) is actually bogus or misleading information.

- All of the restored content I release are based upon concrete information I have and is not based upon a whim. Typically I don't enable or disable layers in Photoshop files until it looks similar to footage, I typically only release content that has layers or TGAs of the original asset, then work on restoring whatever else needs restored. The only exception to the rule were the TRS Weapons, but there's enough data there to make educated inferences on layer values. Footage can be deceptive and not always a reliable source of information (you have to factor in the age of footage, the compression of footage, and whatever or not it was shot off a camera or not.)

- Most TRS textures were finalized around 2006, which includes the final Molotov, Medkit, and Pills. There's very few exceptions to the rule, like the Pump Shotgun, which was updated to fix the AO to match the new bolt placement on the gun.

- Yes, I do realize that most of this has nothing to do with the thread you posted, but this is ♥♥♥♥ I've been dealing with since around 2014.
