Yes, i'm using kmm and installed all the mods except The advisor, event:advisor and Improved arrow trails.
Game would not start, so i started elimination of mods, took some time and i found out that the "Merwyrms and more" mods where causing he troubles with my game. Turning them off helped.

Could be a corrupt download. My merwyrms work fine with DE, HE, and Vamp Coast. So description was updated on their mod page. Only DL SFO submod and place it in the appropriate location in the mod load order. My load order pics are up on the description now. Here's my Merwyrms in game: https://imgur.com/gallery/JrqfPgs

Hey man could you help meout with the mod manager? I subbed to all the mods on your list, downloaded the mod manager and from here I just wanna make sure I'm not missing anything as I've never used this mod manager before. So I clicked "Import Profile from Simple Text" under the Profiles tab, selected your profile (profile_SFO Great Plan.txt) and it loaded most of your load order, but I noticed some differences. I know you said you have to properly install some of the mods (like arrow trails, which I did, put its additional data in the warhammer 2 data folder), so I did it for arrow trails but I couldn't find any others that needed any additional files. Am I missing something? On your screenshots it says your Mod Count is at 117, but for some reason I'm sitting at 114. Also there's a good 40 or so mods that aren't enabled at the bottom of my load order that I don't see on your screenshots, which is weird because I unsubbed from all my old mods before downloading your list. Did I not import your profile correctly? Guess I'm missing something.. any help would be appreciated as I've been trying to get SFO submods to work all morning until I came across your compilation. Am I missing some additional files or something? Let me know if you get a chance

So KMM is relatively easy once you get the hang of it. I’ll help you out and we will get it working.
1) if you only have 114 mods then your missing some. Check the list again and find out which ones.
2) all the old mods that aren’t activated even though you unsubscribed from them will still stay on your drive for a while because steam is slow to delete them. To delete them permanently you need to unsubscribe first then go into KMM and right click the file you unsubscribed from and click delete. KMM will take maybe 30 sec or so and might blank screen but give some time and it will work.
3) if the load order is not the same as mine you will need to manually adjust it. To do this find my KMM load order pics on the description and check yours. If a mod is out of place, left click on that mod then use the up and down arrows at the top kinda by the file/view buttons and that will move the mod to where it needs to be. Once the mods are in the correct order you need to hit the save button under the profile selection. It’s kinda yo the right. Use KMM to launch your game via the top left button I think it’s called file or something. It’s got a drop down menu and there will be a button that says launch game. It should show the splash screen (WH2 logo) it will take a second to load. If it loads it works, if it crashes then there is an issue we need to solve.
4) after all that I recommend installing Gemfx. I put a description how to do that on the page.

So this just instantly crashes for me, I've gone through and downloaded everything on the list + arrow trail file as well as cygor blue and only for taurox from the beastmen (though i've not enabled either of those yet)
At first it seems like it was OvN causing the issues, but deactivating that didn't seem to actually help
It just crashes between the "Total Warhammer 2" screen and the Sega logo

The only differences are your profile lists two merwyrm mods but I've just got the one (have deleted the reference to the earlier one in case it was the problem but it also didn't help) So I have 116 mods enabled

You can do a few things,

1) Check my KMM load order and yours and see if they match.

2) You could possibly have a corrupt downloaded mod which would require you to locate that one and re-download it.

The way I would look for the issue is to go 10 by 10. Enable SFO and 9 other mods. Try and launch. If it works, then keep enabling 10 mods at a time and relaunching until you can narrow down the culprit.

The order does match so I guess I'm just going to have to redownload stuff
I tried to go through my modlist to find out the specific mod, but because so much of it works on dependencies it's hard to keep track of where exactly the issues are
I downloaded them about 10 at a time so I guess it's not particularly surprising that one has corrupted considering what Steam Workshop is like

that's the only thing I can think of. Even if you have fast internet, steams servers are usually slow from so many users using it. The collection does work I assure you, but somewhere in your installation of it it encountered a problem. If you want to do a full redownload, unsub from all the mods, delete them from WH2's data because even if you unsub it will retain the info. Then redownload, maybe just 1 at a time so it won't get corrupted.

I had the instacrash problem too. 2 full redownloads of all mods didn't help (and didn't help my monthly 1TB bandwidth limit -- thanks Comcast!) Here is what I did:

1. I made sure my mod load order matched the posted one.

2. I Toggled ALL the mods off.

2. Then I started at the BOTTOM of the load order and began enabling mods in KMM, 5 at a time, and launching the game.

3. Once the game crashed, I backed off of those last 5 mods, one at a time, till it started working again. Then I left the crashing mod unchecked and continued testing till I was through the list, detecting other problem mods the same way.

4. At the end of it all, I found that the Advisor mod and the Moulder's Menagerie were the two mods that were crashing the game for me. Another re-download fixed the issue with Moulder's Menagerie and I was able to include it. Re-downloads did not fix the Advisor mod so I just removed it from my list in KMM. I'm happily playing now with no further crashes so far!

You are welcome. Glad to hear you fixed it and are up and running. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I have been getting a lot of reports about the advisor mod causing issues. I’ll look into and see what the problem is. It does work for me so I know it’s possible.

Just thought I'd mention that I was having crashing issues with launch! Disabling the Adviser mod also fixed it for me, so definitely it causing issues unfortunately

Current problems with Installation

1. KMM would not start, get a (not responding error). Deleting KMM appdata worked

2. Installation directions lack structure and were unclear as a first time KMM user, I subbed to all collection mods, installed KMM, turned all subbed items (123) on and off in CA mod manager, then ran the game in vanilla, then opened KMM, imported load order profile, ran the game, seems to work currently.

Id suggest improving the installation directions for user accessibility.

I also have some issues with this set up:

As listed in your mod list above there are 125 items according to steam. I have downloaded all of these and pulled them into KMM. Booted TW and disabled all mods via this launcher.

I have loaded your mod load order file - SFO Great Plan, and there are only 122 mods in here according to KMM. I know KMM is separate.

I have managed to play several campaigns fine for around 50 turns or as well as multiple custom battles. But some do not function very well. Albion crashes on first time several times in a row when attacking. A lot of others fail/CTD on map booting and is likely due to GCCM custom maps as this mod is known to be out of support/updated/cause problems.

I appreciate that it takes a lot of hard work, especially to get this many mods working but just a heads up.


EDIT - Ive noticed the Improved arrows has changed name. On your file its listed at

@improvedarrowtrails(mod).pack

But in KMM the file is now called

@improvedarrowtrails.pack

As a result this one doesn't load from your list.
