Duplicated units of faith
Duplicated units of faith have no religion and can't be used for convertion.

correct, I believe this was stated in the mod description, if not, I know the mod author has mentioned it in reply to someone else in the past. This is caused by a script the game runs to assign the religion to the unit after creation, which is not called by the cheat menu as it would affect all duplicated units and may cause game crashes.

I know this is an old post, I am replying for future viewers.
