to begin with,

Spy slayer
+/- works like a whip ( range gets progressivly longer as you attack, and progressivly shorter when being pulled back. )
+ 25% damage bonus
- 20% swing speed
- 25% metal per hit

Basicly a wrench that is used more for combat rather than building, allowing for a more demoknightesc battle engie.

nah engie usually has a ridiculous crit rate making a range buff a little OP if the engie is doing well

As a wrench replacement, these stats could work.

Suggested Stats
=====================================
+25% Damage bonus

-10% Swing speed

+/- Ranged

+ Able to repair buildings
((The further you are, the less effective the repair is)

- 3% Increased knockback on wearer

- 5% Speed Decrease on wearer
=======================================

Because this weapon is based on the vampire killer, I think the stats work well.

nah engie usually has a ridiculous crit rate making a range buff a little OP if the engie is doing well

No random crits might be a better downside to have to be honest

Hitting building gives them a damage buff
25% less building health
20% slower swing speed

+On hit: Slows down enemy players, the slowdown lasts from 1-4 seconds depending on distance
+Increases maximum health by 25
-20% slower swing speed
-Repairing and upgrading buildings cost 25 more metal
-No Random Crits
Weapon has a travel time, basically a projectile based melee weapon
Weapon deals full damage on hit, second hits deal significantly reduced damage

Guarenteed critical hits when your buildings are being sapped
Able to whip projectiles down
Possible to hit a player twice in one swing
50% slower firing speed
150% slower deploy speed
No random critical hits

this is a pretty cool weapon. i don't think it should take away metal though, that's a little much. and no crits. definitely no crits. it should also have the light thing on the weapon light up when there is a spy in a certain radius around you. i feel like this would let you really get the spy combat tool.
maybe a much larger hurtbox and higher base damage, to the point of 1 hitting a sapper but having no rando krits, slower swing speed, and upgrading buildings will use 50% less metal

+larger melee range (not as much as a sword, but definitely extended)
+100% more metal appiled to bulding upgrades (each swing adds 50 metal as opposed to 25)
+50% faster switch-to speed
+can grab ammo/medkits with a swing (must wait for animation to finish however)
-10% damage penalty
-20% swing speed

plus i'd give the model a less "themed" look so it fits on days outside of halloween

+Consecutive hits on enemy players increase swing speed by 25%
- 20% firing speed
- 25% slow repair rate

Can be use used well for combat and for fighting agains Spies that are too good with trickstabbing so you don't have to risk the chance of getting too close and die but it's swing speed and repair rate makes it really bad at repairing or defending your building under enemy fire.

[+] This weapon has a large melee range. (+40%)
[+] Repairing and upgrading buildings consumes health instead of metal with a 80% reduce in repair and upgrade cost. (Effects don't apply for other weapons that consume metal)
[-] -40% metal and health from dispensers on wearer
[-] -25% slower swing speed
