Lunar Capital Expanded
Hello. A while back, I was coming up with suggestions for national ideas and sending them in the "Suggestions for countries' ideas" discussion. Eventually, I learned how to mod, and put these into my own local copy of Touhou Universalis to test them out, and had great fun.

Recently, I have been playing around with the Lunar Capital nation and putting together some content for them. I have a full set of National Ideas, 6 implemented missions with many more planned and a simple new religion (just with reformed mechanics) with the Lunar Capital as a holy site.

I've tried to take the country in an interesting direction (hopefully) as a militaristic yet isolationist nation. Their Traditions include -300% Spy Network Construction, meaning they cannot fabricate claims (they eventually get +300% Spy Network on idea 3 to remove this) and must rely on the claims they get from missions (there are quite a few!) in order to expand.

Their mission tree, as currently planned, starts their conquests either west, with a naval focus, or east, with a land focus. Once the Dragon Islands and the Moon are both under the nation's control, you then get missions to take the northern coasts of Gensokyo, and from then onwards, begin taking the mainland. It is unlikely that this tree will involve conquest outside of Gensokyo, but it is still being planned out for now, so who knows.

The Lunarian Ideas are similar to Mima's, having some really strong bonuses, but some penalties as well - the aforementioned Spy Network Construction, +5 years of separatism, reduced Promoted Cultures, and losing access to mercenaries.

The religion has +20% Warscore against other religions, a very powerful bonus, but has -2 Tolerance of Heathens. This, with the separatism penalty, means that Lunar Capital will be very good at conquering land, but will also have to work hard to hold it, as it will have to frequently manage rebellions with few peaceful ways to resolve this.

I would like to give the nation a different government type somewhere in the mission tree, but I'm unsure as to which one. I think the Prussian Monarchy is the most fitting, but their neighbour, Sunflower Field, already gets that as a unique government reform.

Lastly, at this point in time, I'm not thinking about releasing this as a mod of a mod. Not only do I not know how to do this, I haven't spoken to Comrade Flan about any of this, so I don't have permission. That being said, if you're reading this, Flan, and you'd like to take a look at anything that I've done in detail, please let me know ;)

I've completed the mission tree for the nation, and I think it is ready to be shown off. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue on how to make a submod since I've just been editing the Touhou Universalis files directly, but I have the specific changes uploaded to pastebin for anyone who knows how to mod and would like to try it (although hopefully Comrade Flan sees this).

Sorry for my long absence. My studies didn't allow me to focus on the mod - until now.
Well then, regarding your content for LCU: I like them quite a lot. When we put our focus on LCU I would like to add some of your ideas to Lunarian (missions and ideas).
Also I like the new religion for the Lunarians, which I intend to integrate into the base mod when religions get their revamp - of course only if you're ok with that

Until then I am totally fine if you release your LCU content as basically a mod for a mod.

Btw: SFF doesn't have the Prussian Monarchy mechanic, so you could give it to LCU.
Also, a little sidenote: with the next update the LCU AI (as well as the other Lunarian nations AIs) will get some artificial limiters to hinder them influencing the politics of Gensokyo until 1550 as they are in Touhou isolationistic and don't bother with Earth's business.

Hello! Yes, I would be completely okay if you integrated this into the mod, although you should contact me again when you're ready to implement this, because I've already fixed some bugs I noticed while playtesting, and I'm also considering putting together an "Usagi Revolt" disaster with associated events.

Unfortunately I don't think I can release this as a mod for a mod because of file conflicts, and I haven't really looked into restructuring the files so that this doesn't happen.

Still, it's good to hear you'll have free time again in the near future, and I'm looking forward to the future of this mod!

Today, I finished the Usagi Revolt disaster for the Lunar Capital. This disaster can fire after sufficient progress in the mission tree, representing the shift from conquest as a "preemptive defensive against invasion" to full-blown expansionism.

If the Lunar Capital continues to wage war with low manpower and high war exhaustion, the Usagi Revolt will fire. During this time, you will find it much harder to fight your wars, as you'll lose the natural war exhaustion decay for being at peace, and your armies will be much weaker.

There are two pathways to resolving this event. At regular intervals, the Usagi people will present an ultimatum to the government - you can choose to ignore these demands at no penalty, or you can choose to accept their demands, receiving a negative modifier until the disaster ends.

Once you have met or ignored seven demands, the last event fires to show you the results of the uprising - either the Usagi people decide to go to war and enforce their demands, choose to end their revolt peacefully, or are pleased with the resolution and promise to work harmoniously with the government in the future. As such, like Court and Country, this may be a disaster you willingly activate in order to reap some long-term benefits at the end. Or, if you do not wish to deal with the penalties to your ability to wage war, you can ignore their demands, crush the ensuing revolt and move past the disaster quickly.

Finally, after figuring out how to do it, I've uploaded my changes as a mod to the steam workshop:
