25% longer flame range -10% damage. Dragon's Breath- charges after every kill when activated +20% damage, and can rarely destroy projectiles (taunt to activate). -15% clip size(170) no airblast

-Consumes 3 times more fuel

. +50% clip size (300 max ammo because stock has 200)
. +50% ammo consumed on airblast (30 ammo)
. 33% afterburn damage penalty (2 damage)
. Airblast doesn't push enemies

An aquaintance of mine sometimes mentions how he dislikes the fact that pyro can airblast people, but I myself see it as a way that the class can protect itself from close ranged threats such as demomen, heavies, or soldiers that get too close. The longer flame range may slightly compensate for the lack of this ability while separating itself from other options such as the degreaser or stock. The damage penalty may also encourage players to resort to their secondary for additional damage.

These are the ideal stats I'd like to see in a new flamethrower.

how about this 30% more damage if enemies are close but if its barely out of range its -20% damage, airblast cost is 40% and 20% more knockback , bullet resistance is -10% , -20% ammo , every 5 kills with flamethrower (mouse 2) shoot a fireball do a fiery explosion animation for 2 sec and do 20 damage per particle,- 50% healing by medic and dipenser , -30 % from ammo pack and health pack, -50% overheal.

I say make the damage resistance -15% and remove the health draw back in whole

it has to be like the huo long heater
secondary fire charge up to 5 fireballs, release it to fire those
NO AIRBLAST
1 fireball=20 amo
consume 1 more amo while pressing M1

cons:

-10% slower equip rate

i like it but how about +50% airblast cost(40)

What if it shot fireworks instead of flames? Like, bottle rockets that burst into team colors and deal splash damage. We'd just need to come up with a new alt-fire since it wouldn't make sense for a fireworks canon to shoot compressed air.
Pros:fire fire mixture with traectory ( have large damage falloff)
+10% fire damage
Cons:-50% afterburn damage
-20% firing speed on alt-fire on 3 sconds
No random crits
