Secondly there is the fact that the demo man is a character who already works beyond the fields or realistic for the time period the game is set in. There are demos who prefer to play as demoknights and you never saw those kinds of things back then. Also they didn't have anything like the scotish resistance or the normal stickey launcher. Both of those items are unrealistic for the time period, but we generally accept them as normal for the game. Also all of the items the medic have are of simmilar design so I wouldn't be surprised if the Engi and Medic came together to help rebuild the Demo.
Lastly it this is a game and the item looks cool. Why, should we care about staying realistic? I would much perfere to have items that not only look cool but, reference shows that I love. Along with that it is a cool replacement for the demo's non-exsistant eye, that like most other people, try to use as a fun way to change up the look of the demo. So, Who Cares. All that really matters is that it looks aweome and that it was made by the community.
P.S. Thank you to the creator of this item. You deserve a big BOOOYAH. Please keep doing what you are doing because it looks amazing.
Also it doesn't fit the artstyle quite right.

(Im sorry, I just had to do that. It was too tempting.)
