Can't start coversion ritual or right click traders

After I bulit the first 2 androids I noticed I can't start the conversion ritual (buttons had disapperaded) and was unable to start trading with a caravan on my map as the right click did not make the option appear. Banished the droids from my colony and everything went back to normal.
