Questionable Ethics [Outdated]

Life Support x Death Rattle compatibility
There's another mod on the steam workshop called Death Rattle, it's fairly useful for keeping colonists alive after a fatal hit instead of suddenly losing a pawn.
The idea of it is losing a liver or other important organ wont instant kill your pawn but instead lend you time to give them a transplant if able. It feels better than suddenly losing someone on a stray bullet, but still risky to manage a save in a fight due to time limits on their survival.

The problem is that the life support system from Questionable Ethics doesn't recognize Death Rattle's hediffs and wont postpone death even though the life support is effectively replacing the lost organ.
The developer of Death Rattle said it would be best, and probably easier, for QE to check for the hediffs and stop their decay itself. They've also given permission to do so, if that's a concern

Death Rattle uses HediffCompProperties_Immunizable for the timers in its conditions. This was noted by The Word-Mule, the creator themself.

If anyone could make a compatability patch so life support pauses DR's timers, that would be amazing.

There is such a patch already, though it's not blatantly obvious when browsing the workshop. It's a mod called 'Death Rattle - Comatose', which you can find here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1553099486
The gist is that you put someone in an artificial coma with that mod, then can use the Life Support system in this mod. I haven't tried it, but give it a go!

Thanks for the link! Here's hoping it works in my next game.
