I love the physical design of this mesh. It looks like it would go well with other medieval skin sets.

There are a couple of things I see that don't feel right on it though.
Any status effects that are modded for would drown out the energy color on the blades edge, or muddy it up. It would accent better if you used the metalic layer instead with high polish.

The only other thing is that each detail you have on the head of the weapon is well designed and looks great in their own right, however all of them overlapping makes it look too busy.
The ribbon is good for breaking up the background, and I would keep that.
The thing that you should consider changing is make the scrollwork etching the energy layer, and take off the constellations as they look like they belong the least.

I like this design, but it looks like a decision couldn't be reached about which detail to use in the background, and so both were kept even though they clash with eachother.

Maybe if the constellations were replaced with cracks in the surface radiating out from the core at the blade's base. If that was the energy layer, it would retain much of it's current form, but would loose some of the "busy" look it has...
