What exactly am I supposed to do here?

The whole level has been tons of fun, but I'm absolutely stumped as to what I'm expected to do here. The explanations given from the NPC don't really do a whole lot either, what exactly is a Dweller Bomb? Turning the Dweller mask on and off does nothing as well. I feel like I'm misunderstanding some mechanic here, any help is appreciated

the dweller bomb section is an alternate path if you're playing as mustache girl. If you're playing as hat kid you need to turn back the way you came, as a new path will be available to you thanks to the layout of balloons
