How to properly install the vpk files inside the Gamemodes Script Pack
The following guide is to show how to unpack this pack properly and getting the vpk file/s to your addon folder for use.

Step 1:
Subscribe to his mod, wait for the download to complete, than launch the game. When you get the confirmation that the Weapons Script Pack has been loaded (and check your addons in your option menu). Then you can exit the game.

Step 2:
To unpack this you need " VPK.exe ", Open steam go to " Library " change the listing from " Games " to " Tools " scroll down until you find " Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools ", download it.

Step 3:
Now go to the folder that contains the VPK application (VPK.exe).
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\bin
Scroll down until you find a application called VPK. You may want to make a short cut to your desktop for easy access.

Step 4:
Go to your Workshop folder in your addons folder.
C:\Program Files\steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop
You will find vpk file labeled a bunch of numbers, 154994194 (This how it is for me, but you will get the mod thumbnail picture named the same thing, so finding it would not be to hard.)

Step 5:
Click and drag (grab) the vpk file mentioned above (154994194) and drop it over the VPK.exe located in
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\bin
or the shortcut. It will then create a folder named the same thing (154994194) in the same folder as your vpk file (which in most cases is your workshop folder.).

Step6:
Open the folder that was just created. You'll see some text files for more information and some more folders containing all the vpk files that are the actual mods / scripts. You can now grab the vpk files you want and drop them in your addons folder.
C:\Program Files\steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\
Launch L4D2 and enjoy.

Well, partially. Altough I now have the addon properly installed, it still isn't working. L4D2 just chrashes while loading a level. I assume that that's just because both my computer and L4D2 are being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, even regular L4D2 (without your .vpk file in my addon folder) is seeing crashes. For now I am going to unsubscribe from the addon and check if L4D2 is stable again once I've done that, because your addon might just have caused the chrashes... Anyway, getting a new computer soon because this one sucks. I have favorited the addon and will try again when I actually have a decent rig.

I am having a bit of trouble installing it when I drag the fike into the VPK it says "The program can't start because tier0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" Is what is says when I try to open it with it

Sorry for the late reply, I though I did, but I guess steam crashed on me or something. Anyways to help, Have you tried verifing your game cache, what other kinds of mods are you using. Hope getting a new rig helps.

That is odd, I can't help much when there is a corrupted dll file or something in your computer. I will give you a alternate download link see if it helps.

Use 7zip or winrar to unpack it and then skip to step 6. Hope this helps.

When you put the addons in folder, just start the game. From there go to the addons menu option and check the one you want to play at the moment and uncheck the ones you don't. You can only run one at a time. Then you can play any of the gametypes, Survival, Singleplay, Co-op, realism, etc.. Hope this helps.

i don't get how you choose the modes. like the legend, lone, duo and trio, how i select that?

Just open the folders and select one of the vpks and put into the addon folder.

I've done everything right. Whenever I start L4D2 afterwords the computer just seems to delete the VPK files from the addons folder :(

Ummmm..... That is some serious wizardry. Make sure your Anti-virus program doesn't think vpk files is a virus, It's not. Try verifing your game cache. I can't think of anything else to be the problem. Is it only doing it with this mod or all your mods?

This is so hard... i have a mac and i cant do vpk.exe i dont have windows computer so im just gonna subscribe to the other addon instead

Not sure how to respond to that? I guess i should expand. Steam's L4D2 workshop only allows for vpk files to be uploaded as mods. I would upload a zip, 7zip, rar or something to make the unpacking easier for people. But, Steam doesn't allow me to. It doesn't help that the author tools don't seem to work well or at all for Mac users.

I can however provide an alternate link for people having trouble. It's on my OneDrive don't worry I've been using it for a while its completely safe. There you can find a 7zip version of the mod. If you guys still have trouble just tell me.

i am stuck at Step5 and 6 . there is no new folder created... "154994194.vpk" right? i put it in the
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\bin and nothing happens i installed the
" Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools" ... what should i do?

i did that. no new folder. and i cant open the vpk.exe or the file mentioned above (154994194)
it must be this right?
that is the apk file u wanted me to drag in the "left4dead2\bin" right?
(C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\bin\154994194.vpk)
still the prob is there is no "154994194" folder.
